Jean and Ellen are a talented team with whom is was a pleasure to work. We had the basic architectural drawings for a second home in Colorado but their expertise and ability to implement our ideas for the interior design of our home was unbelievable. Their expertise in architecture and design, along with the work of Martin Klinowski, our general contractor at Puchek Construction, resulted in a house that is attractive, extremely functional, and energy efficient. Their design of the interior of the house included unique wall finishes and lightening for the modern/industrial feel that we wanted. They worked within our budget, making suggestions where they thought we needed to spend a bit more for added quality and durability. Jean and Ellen communicated very well with, our general contractor, which was particularly important since we were 900 miles away from where the house was being built. They were very available and easy to communicate with and always responded in a timely fashion to our requests. Jean and Ellen were wonderful to work with, especially in creating a clean pared-down interior which kept the integrity of a modest Spanish style hacienda intact. They took a well-loved home from it's brokenness back to the charm and simplicity of its' beginnings, with a flair which is joyful in every detail. Jean made sure the elements were kept simple, which worked perfectly with my desire to not have anything cross the threshold of this little house that I didn't LOVE. It is a "Happy House", and Jean and Ellen were pivotal setting the perfect stage for this vision to unfold.
