About Us

M. BOTANICA LANDSCAPE DESIGN is a Chicago-based design firm in practice since 2004 and has worked on a diverse range of projects, mainly within the Lincoln Park area. M.Botanica designs and builds custom outdoor spaces including roof decks and terraces, landscaped courtyards, back yards, parkways, and gardens. Our clients have access to a full range of professional landscape services; from planning and design through installation and maintenance. Hiring a professional landscape maintenance provider is the most effective way to maintain the investment you’ve made in your property. We offer a variety of plans to maintain landscaped areas. Depending on the physical space and the plants, the frequency of maintenance can range from twice or three times weekly to once every two weeks. We will create a maintenance schedule that fits your needs.

Marcelo and his crew were amazing from the design phase all the way through execution! He was flexible to meet our budget and timeline too. We've had tons of people comment on how beautiful our garden oasis in the city is and we have a transformed place to enjoy!

One of the most talented individuals I have ever met. Beautiful eye for detail, reliable, efficient. My home (former) are the photos you see listed in Kenilworth, IL. I've also used M.Botanica at my prior residence in Chicago, IL. He has catered my parties, done the outside containers and flowers for the interior on many occasions! I haven't given up on getting him to Paradise Valley, AZ to update my current residence. In a word...GIFTED

We have been employing Marcello for almost 20 years. We have seen his business grow tremendously during this period yet Marcello has continued to provide us with the utmost attention to detail and quality as the day we first met him. He is inventive, professional and we always have the most amazing looking yard. This past year we went through a major renovation and redesigned our front and rear yards. The results are exactly what we wanted: gorgeous, perfectly on time and within the budget. We could not be happier.

Marcelo and team at M Bontaica are terrific. We've used them at 3 different locations and the result is always the same: thoughtfully designed, beautiful landscaping with impeccable maintainence, pruning, and clean up. Could not recommend them more. 5 stars!

Marcelo and his crew do unique and beautiful work; they transformed our city backyard into a botanical garden and was able to surpass what I had imagined and described at the beginning of the project.

Marcelo and M. Botanica are absolutely fantastic. We've used them for 5 years in a row and each year is better than the one before. The first project they did for us still looks great and they were substantially cheaper than the landscape service we'd seen around town. Would give 6 stars if that was an option.

Marcelo of M Botanica transformed the dreary box hedges that bordered my home into a vibrant, colorful design of plants and flowers that comes alive every spring. Marcelo is easy to work with and very skilled at merging your preferences with his expertise to create a unique landscape that will make you smile every time you see it!

Our outdoor balcony looked beautiful and lush all summer. We were very happy with the professionalism showed by all. They came when they said they would and worked hard until all were satisfied. I would highly recommend Marcello and his crew.
