Marc Staples Sculpture

As director of The Main Contemporary Gallery in Dallas, I became familiar with the work and career of Mark Staples. Circumstances beyond either his or my control prohibited me from organizing a featured show of his work, which I fully intended to do. But in any case, I found him to be a very personable, engaged artist and a brilliant sculptor who produces works of unlimited commercial appeal and potential. His sculptures are well-conceived, thoughtful and extremely well executed from both the technical and aesthetic standpoints.
