Buyer's beware a scammer and gouger. McCusker Landscaping asked for half the payment up front on a hardscape patio. The plan was to break ground in 30 days. No show, no call! A year later claiming weather has got him backed up. Famous words was I will be there next month. After many phone calls and a request for a refund they finally showed up 1 year later. The bill well that is another story! Many excessive charges and the final invoice was not what we agreed on. The person who answers the phone is inept and no business etiquette. Called to discuss the final bill and got verbally abused. I tell him this won't fly in court and I just want to pay what we agreed on. Bad business. e

McCusker rebuilt the old stone pathway leading to the front of our home. Wow, what a wonderful job they did. The new walk is solid, with precise joints and nicely cut edges. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. Not just that, but the crew was courteous and professional through the work. They kept the site clean and even graded the new edges of the walk, planting seed where a bit of the lawn needed to be dug out. All of this during a brutal heat-wave, too. I would unhesitatingly have them do other work on our home.

Matt and his team are excellent to work with; we’ve had beautiful landscaping and hardscaping over the years by McCusker and continue to use them for smaller projects too. They take pride in their work. Highly recommend.

Matt & his team at McCusker Landscaping have been tremendously helpful to our family & home. Not only was their work EXCELLENT, their patience and communication regarding some of the challenges we are facing with our existing backyard patio (done by another contractor) is above and beyond what should be expected by anyone. Not only did they make it a requirement to stay within our pre-defined budget, Matt is going above and beyond in trying to help us remedy shoddy work done by another contractor. Not reliable took months to get work finished and return phone call. Major attitude when questioned about billing and harrassed for payment when I disputed bill.

Apparently the job was too small. The cost of the work certainly did not equate. We were hoping to find a landscaper and started with a mow and spring clean up. The job looked rushed and incomplete. Lets talk about communication. Every time I attempted to contact the office, I would leave a message or an email. It would take about two weeks for a return call or email. Perhaps McCuskers prefers larger landscaping jobs, because they clearly did not take pride in our job. Truly disappointing.

Matt and his crew are fantastic! Matt landscaped my entire back and front yard; based on a design that Matt came up with. They installed flagstone for my back patio with a beautiful outdoor kitchen, they patiently and carefully placed the flagstone so that it's completely natural looking and leveled correctly for good drainage. It took over 3 months to complete the back and front in two separate stages which included retaining walls around my garden, a fire pit, patio and outdoor kitchen in the back yard, In the front Matt incorporated the flagstone for the front stairs, and the walkway. It all looks Great. Matt also laid new grass in front and back, installed a sloped garden around a blue bedrock dry creek, a 50’ natural stone retaining wall along my driveway, which gave me a beautiful rose garden which is now copied by many neighbors. All of his work was done by his own crew who always smiled and seemed to enjoy their work, even on the hottest days. They also responded well when I had suggested changes, and never billed me for the small adjustments. The entire project was done on time and in his original budget, except for a major addition that I had requested later (my driveway retaining wall). I will use McCusker landscaping again and I recommend him to anyone who asked. I have had over a dozen people come see my yard to get ideas for their landscape projects, and they all love what they see. I highly recommend McCusker landscaping, Thanks Matt!

I had a wonderful experience working with Matt! He listened to everything I wanted. He even added some things I didn't think about like a boulder and LED lights. My backyard was totally transformed into a beautiful secluded oasis with lighting on all the trees at night that are stunning! He custom made my gate and picked out the perfect plants! The pea gravel walkway and patio are awesome too. I just love everything about it!

We recently had our walkway redesigned by McCusker Landscaping. Matt came out and offered excellent recommendations of how to maximize our space and give us lovely curb appeal! His team of experts installed beautiful PA blue flagstone and built a wall for my flower beds. While he was there, he pruned my trees too! Excellent service and quality workmanship. Matt designed and constructed a patio and outdoor fireplace to adjoin our existing deck and we could not be more delighted with the outcome. He suggested we combine different materials, colors and textures to create a "rich" and unique space. The construction team was extremely courteous and professional. They completed our project ahead of schedule despite some last minute changes we added. We have and will continue to recommend McCusker. We had an exceptional experience.
