About Us

Meadows Farms is one of the largest garden centers and landscape companies in the US. We are family-owned with 18 garden center locations and over 500 employees, with a landscape location staffed with 35 Landscape Architects and Designers. Our Lifetime Warranty on trees and shrubs we install is unique to the industry. Our $49 design fee includes a consultation with one of our landscape architects and designers, a design sketch, and estimate. Our dedication to our customers is demonstrated by the frequency of repeat visits. Each year we help thousands of customers realize their landscaping & gardening dreams, and we can’t wait to assist you! The Retail Division: "Plant a little happiness" is Meadows Farms' motto, and thousands of Washington area residents shop with us, with many being the second generation of loyal customers. With 18 garden centers located around the Washington Metro area there's a location convenient to everyone. Landscape Division: Meadows Farms Landscaping specializes in residential design throughout the Metropolitan Washington area. With a 23 acre site, Meadows Farms stocks an impressive array of large specimens, unusual plants, and hardscape materials for the installation of more than 3,000 landscape projects each year. Our Grounds Maintenance division offers knowledgeable professional lawn & garden maintenance, delivery and planting of smaller plant orders, and garden enhancements featuring annuals and perennials. Fairfax & Loudoun counties as well as portions of Prince William and Arlington counties in Virginia are eligible for this service.

We signed a contract with meadows farm for hardscape for patio and front porch in November 2021 and for landscape in April 2022. They did lousy job for very high price. The stones on the porch are wobbly and the leveling sand comes out. The plants were expensive and some are already dying or not healthy-looking. I do not recommend using this company at all. Quality of the work is terrible. I get upset every time I look at our porch.

We had a landscaping project done early summer last year (2020), and really trust the designer's (Susan) recommendation. We have been disappointed with her work and every time we look at our front yard, we are even more disappointed. She recommended removing a couple of plants and shrubs from the front and putting in other plants which we really regret removing as the recommendation she provided looks like garbage and did not enhance our landscaping at all. Such a waste of money as we will need to redo. We will not use or recommend Meadows Farms in Chantilly to anyone. We did contact the manager and he seems like a nice guy but we were not about to purchase additional trees or shrubs when we already spent money on the existing ones.

I have purchased my plants from Meadows for over 5 years. The quality of the products as well as the unique potted plants they offer kept me coming back.

Terrible. Don't use these people. I signed a contract for sod that included an irrigation system for a month. They installed the sod but two days later haven't delivered the irrigation system. It is now hot--not good for unwatered sod. Of course they do not warranty sod. I had not planned on having to water the new sod myself so had to go get sprinkler equipment when they did not deliver today. Even though they have not fulfilled the contract by delivering and hooking up the irrigation system which was $500 of the contract, they have billed me for the full balance of the contract including the undelivered irrigation system. I have already filed a dispute with credit card company.

The temporary irrigation system was installed two days after the sod was installed. We have stated in response to reviews on other sites that we would always replace sod that died if our delay was the reason. There should be no problem here due to this short delay.

Purchased a deal for a landscape architect to come and draw up plans for landscaping. Landscape architect arrived on time, asked good questions to find out my needs and ideas, and got right to work drawing up plans. Adjusted as we talked and went along. Gave me a detailed drawing of his concept, with different options. No pressure to have Meadows Farms perform the work, but gave prices in case I wanted to hire him. Great job, professional.

Landscape Designer, Kevin Ganley did an excellent job designing a low maintenance backyard garden and patio space. The installers did and excellent job and cleaned the area when completed. It is a beautiful and relaxing area. Looking forward to working with him in the future on the front yard.

We learned that Meadows Farms could do a custom design for just $55 for us. We needed a plan to submit to our HOA. Lisa came out and listened to my "dreams" and concerns about new landscaping. I explained a few color changes I was planning to make to our house paint. She gave practical advice why I would want some things and wouldn't want others. I loved the design and asked for a price for installation. I was pleasantly surprised because I estimated it would be at least $1500 more. We booked our installation, went to a retail outlet to check out the plants she suggested. Lisa was there and walked us through the nursery and explained even more about each plant. On the day of the installation, the first gentleman who came deposited the soil in my driveway. We spoke for a little bit and he told me a beautiful story about how the company took care of him after a personal issue. It was nice to hear him speak so highly about them as I too work for a family owned business with similar ethics. Then Lee and his crew came and installed the hardscapes and landscaping. They personally chipped each rock to make a perfectly designed custom wall. It was AMAZING to watch. They worked hard throughout the day and created a landscape that my neighbors have all complimented. I tell everyone who did it and why I chose them. You may spend a little more to have someone else install, but seriously, do you know how to make a perfectly rounded rock wall? And, how else will you get a lifetime warranty on the work?! I'm beyond pleased.

Great job on my walkway and landscaping design. I enjoyed working with the designer as he helped me make affordable choices. The outcome was better than expected! Hard working crew too.
