For 25 years the meia team have been designing, making and installing bespoke moving elements in architecture and are now considered to be the world leaders in the creation of high quality automated moving architectural elements. We supply a range of unique products including sliding roofs and hinged roofs, floors, windows, walls and access systems – from a self extracting invisible desk to a disappearing wardrobe, from a sub-floor hidden elevating massage table to a 100m2 opening glass roof with only 9 pieces of glass. Originally started by Monty Ravenscroft, whose extraordinary Peckham House was featured on the fifth series of Grand Designs, meia has grown into a highly experienced team of specialists providing a design-led service from initial idea through installed reality onto tailored maintenance arrangements. Meticulous design, clean lines and best quality materials make our products aesthetically delightful. We focus on minimal visibility of our frames and drive systems such that – open or closed – they often can’t be seen at all.
