Recently, August, 2020, he completed a complicated remodel, an oven installation in my kitchen, as well as work in the bed room and resurfacing of old counters and table tops.. This is the fifth project his business has completed in my home over the last 28 years. Kitchen, office, living room, bed room, Mitchel's not going to be your low cost budget pick, but in my experience he'll be truly the best quality and best beauty pick for your project. HIs eye to detail, choice of wood, fitting into the surroundings, finishing, installation - all these fit together to create a beautiful end result. Outstanding work; truly. Mitchel Berman is outstanding! We had a 100% positive experience from beginning to end. We needed a somewhat “out-of-the-box” custom range hood cabinet built for a 13’ peaked ceiling and a floating application between two windows. The kitchen is open to the living space, so it also needed to be aesthetically pleasing. After an extensive frustrating search for a cabinet maker, many of whom were unresponsive and/or not up for the challenge, we were so happy to find Mitch. He is very professional, organized and prompt in his communication (rare traits these days). We came to Mitch with a potential plan and sketch but were not sure how to execute it. Mitch listened carefully, was very open to our thoughts and helped us to develop a final plan with his expertise and own ideas. We came away from that meeting feeling very confident that Mitch would create a piece to fit properly and be structurally sound to support the weight. On installation day, Mitchel and Jonathan arrived on time and carried out a challenging installation in a smooth manner and left the job site spotless upon completion. Mitchel is a true craftsman and the quality of his work is superb. Everyone that comes into that space says “WOW” when they see it. Mitchel Berman and his team are extremely artful, detail-oriented and meticulous custom cabinet makers. I would recommend his company and expertise to anyone, but especially those who truly want to make the most of their living and kitchen spaces and care about a quality aesthetic result. Mitchel has the capacity to execute beautiful, functional, well-built and precisely fitted cabinets across myriad architectural styles. His range reflects how seasoned and experienced he is. He is a professional who can execute on any plan your architect or designer can produce, and with a quality result for sure, but also, he really appreciates spaces aesthetically and practically. I think that what makes Mitchel a stand-out in the field is his unique ability to see and consider cabinet plans within the context of the entire home space to satisfy his own goal of optimizing and complimenting the overall space the cabinets will be in. He is super present, and his confidence is a big plus for his client in the “waiting and hoping” phase before delivery. Let’s face it: building and remodeling a home is a long, arduous, expensive process regardless of who you hire to do your job, but as long as you are at it, why not select a cabinet maker who you can trust to execute not just a good outcome, but a great one. That’s what we got with Mitchel. He was responsive, honest and forthright about the time horizon for installation, the cost of the job, and what we could, or should not expect. Mitchel has high expectations of himself. He came over a few times to do interim measurements of our space against his work at the shop, so that when the cabinets were delivered and installed, the space looked perfect—as if the cabinets should have always been there, and those cabinets made the room! He also improved upon the original design in a key manner that made the room look and feel more expansive. I have come to value Mitchel Berman’s services not only because he is a consummate cabinet maker, and a true craftsperson, but also because he cares and is forthright, fair, visionary and when he shows up as promised, he does the job really well.

I contacted Mitchel to help me with a custom corner cabinet for my Television and audio equipment and for a Front Entry cabinet to hold shoes etc for our home in Foster City. Mitchel was able to understand my requests and needs and his team designed fabricated cabinets that look fantastic and function perfectly. He made changes to the designs as I requested and was great to work with. The work was done on schedule and within budget and everything fits perfectly and it just looks wonderful in my home. MItchel is a master craftsman and thoroughly complete professional. He provided consultation, design enhancements, execution and installation in a major redesign that included cabinetry in my kitchen, living room, master bath and bath. Mitchel adhered to the architectural design while providing many practical and cost-saving enhancements. He has uncompromising quality standards in material selection and build-quality. He collaborated effectively with the master contractor during installation. As a professional, he is communicative, prompt, accurate, pleasant. He gets it right and never takes short cuts, no excuses for anything but outstanding from Mitchel. I now have absolutely stunning woodwork in my home coupled with memories of a smooth, successful and thoroughly enjoyable collaboration with a craftsman who is amongst a diminishing breed.

From the very beginning, Mitchel was attentive, listening to what I wanted and needed, making helpful suggestions, but letting me guide the project to my needs. He asked pertinent questions that helped him create a look to match the rest of the decor in my bathroom. He was kind, professional, and the vanity looks fantastic!

We moved into a pre-owned home that the previous homeowners had a surround system throughout the home that when they moved out all the cables were left hanging from our family room wall. The prior owners had the entertainment center equipment in an armoire, so we decided to put cabinetry to hold all the equipment and hide all the cables. We had a few cabinet companies come out and provide us quotes/ideas but we decided to move forward with Mitch due to his professional and creative perspective. He met deadlines on time and kept us informed of the timelines of each of the stages of our project. He has a very high work ethic and takes pride in what he makes. His knowledge of cabinetry and passion for seeing the job through was proven in the end result of our cabinets and our floating shelves. He takes time to work with the consumer and provide his advice along with working with the Magnolia team from Best Buy to ensure that the measurements are exactly what is needed for the system. We definitely would recommend him if you are looking for cabinetry work and would hire back if we needed something else added or changed.

I have worked with Mitchel Berman Cabinetmakers for over 20 years and when the time came to upgrade my Family Room Bookcases to fit a Large Flat Screen TV set I called upon Mitchel to help me with the work. As always he was prompt, he did all the engineering and design work required, he coordinated the Cabinetry with the Audio Visual requirements and my AV team's requests. The work was done on schedule and within budget and everything fits perfectly and it just looks wonderful in my home. Highly recommended.

Mitch is great. He makes beautiful cabinets inside and out in a timely and professional manner. He shows up when he says he will, he completes the job on time, and he charges what he said he would. You know what you are getting when you hire Mitch: a no problems job done in a jiffy. He'll do a big job or a small job. I've hired him multiple times to do my kitchen, then bath, and now I'm hiring him this month (June) to do another bathroom.

Mitch is not only kind, courteous, organized and prompt, he is also a true artist. His woodwork is aesthetically beautiful, well-built and made to last for a long, long time. We've used him on numerous projects with amazing results each time and recommend him highly. We hired Mitchel Berman to build us a custom cabinet to fit into an existing alcove in our living room. This is the second time we have used Mitchel. We wanted a cabinet with multiple doors that opened wide for easy access to the contents of the cabinet, and that could be painted. Once again, Mitchel understood exactly what we wanted and designed and constructed the most amazing piece for us that matched other surrounding room details and an existing wall unit in the space in its details and finish. With both projects we have done with Mitchel we found the final product to be even better than we had imagined they would be. I know I've said it before, but it bears repeating that Mitchel is an artist and a craftsman of the highest order and we cannot begin to recommend him highly enough. We are extremely happy with our built in family room cabinet from Mitch Berman Cabinetmakers. From the beginning through the end, Mitch was professional, creative and confident in his work. While his original design was beautiful, he was open to our suggestions to modify the design based on other Houzz.com pictures we really liked. Once the cabinets were built, installation was quick and easy. We definitely recommend Mitch and look forward to working with him again.
