My general contractor recommended April, as we needed someone to furnish and decorate our home. April went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we wanted. She spent hours searching and sending us photos of different options for each piece. In the end, our home is stylish, cohesive, and comfortable. April is knowledgeable on different brands, different styles, and knows where to find unique pieces. She truly listened to what we wanted and gave us many options. I highly recommend. She is trustworthy, hardworking, creative, and talented! And her pricing is fair. Overall the best experience we could have hoped for.

We found April of Mix Design by reading reviews and couldn't be happier with her work. April is a LOVELY person, super relaxed, has outstanding communication skills and got the job done under very tight timelines due to our short notice and project start date. She is great at sourcing things and saving money and her computer renderings are so helpful when deciding what is going to look best. She also didn't charge by the hour and then tack on a markup which is very fair and should become industry standard. This was the first time we actually didn't feel gauged out of the 5 times we have hired an interior designer which speaks volumes. We things we love most about our remodel are the ideas that came from April!!! We highly recommend April for your next project.

Harrogate West

I went to April to ask for help with re-designing my upstairs office. It had been a very bland, character-less box of a room. There was an oddly-shaped closet which cut into the footprint of the room. It needed a lot of work. April took the entire closet out, making the room look twice as big. She installed all new floors, and gave it a fresh coat of paint. She also found a gorgeous and stylish ceiling fan for me, and handsome blinds. Finally, April helped me source some great artwork to really elevate the overall aesthetic of my office.

My mother’s home hasn’t been upgraded since the 70’s. We wanted to give her a master bath and closet makeover, but we had no idea where to start. Fortunately, Mix Design Group did, and they handled it all. In just a few weeks, my mother had new custom countertops, new lighting, new fixtures, a new toilet and a brand new shoe closet and dressing area. They even handled repairs to her step down bath, with imported Italian tiles which were falling apart and pulling away from the wall. April and her team were able to create a beautiful space that looked bigger and worked better, and my mother was thrilled.

I had the pleasure of working with April from Mix Design Group last year during a renovation in Westwood, Los Angeles. It was quite an undertaking, and I left with nothing but regret that the job had actually ended. The project included the full liquidation of an estate and total renovation of landscape AND interior of the house. Not only did she organize the estate liquidation, which made my job MUCH easier, but she simultaneously organized and designed a brand new interior. She is such an easy person to work with and when it was time to stage the house, she allowed me space to bring my own ideas/creativity to the project. This project came in under budget and ON TIME, a rarity in this business. The house sold in less than a week, and for over asking!! I can’t WAIT to work with her again on the next project. Kudos to April and Mix Group!!

For my birthday, I was given a three-hour garage organization gift to Mix Design. My two car garage was barely a one car garage before the rehab. Although I’m not a hoarder, my garage had become a long term storage unit with items I had not used or needed in years. After the consultation and ‘crisis counseling’ the work began and between donations, better use groupings and trash, my garage was able to fit two cars again and items are in a more predictable spot when I need them. When you need interior design or organization I recommend Mix Design to get your life in order.
