We are a family owned brick & stone masonry contractor. In business for over 20 years, we have been serving the Chicagoland area, and have over 30 years in the masonry industry. We do both new construction and remodeling projects and are happy to work with contractors and homeowners alike. We expertly build a variety of job types: fireplaces, chimneys, pool decks and water features, retaining walls, exterior and interior brick or stone walls, outdoor kitchens and more. MJ brick and stone has handled multiple job on our home. Fireplace, (22 ft high) kitchen floor, stone oven. They also fixed our second fireplace. Do not place them in the same category as typical mason or bricklayer these guys are truly artists and do luxurious work. Another aspect of this company that we truly appreciated was their honesty. We would give them the code to our home and allow them to work inside and outside of our house when we were not home. You simply can’t find that today.

In 1999 I built a workshop in my back yard and had Mj Brick do the brick work. Excellent job! We hired Jim again to install Blue Stone on our front Stoop and side walk. It came out beautiful. No messing around, got the job done. Looked so good in 2011 I demolished the back deck and had Jim install a Blue Stone patio. Low maintenance! As usual a great job! Great to do business with, A Class Act!

Bryan Hughes

This is a tough one. I was impressed by everything, the design, workmanship and schedule for my paver patio with firepit. They used a pre-cast firepit they had not used before. The following year the face stones fell off. They came out and re-mortared the face stones. They fell off again. I sent emails and called just asking for a solution even if it was going to cost additional money. I totally understood the pre-cast was probably not going to be warrantied or easily replaced. No reply's. Sorry, I cannot give a recommendation based on the follow-up experience.
