DO NOT SHOP HERE. Horrible customer service. The owners couldn't care less about goods arriving late or damaged. I have probably spent at least $20,000 with ModShop over the years and with the latest delivery - not only was it 2 months late (with ZERO communication from customer service) the credenza arrived damaged. I then had to chase customer service with multiple emails and calls - with NO response. Finally, after reaching out for 4 weeks, someone responded. Seems like their approach to "customer service" is hoping that you give up. Be prepared, once you pay upfront thousands of dollars, don't expect to be taken care of by anyone. They just take your money upfront and walk away............... DO NOT SHOP HERE

My experience with Modshop has been a nightmare thus far. I ordered a sofa with the lead time of eight weeks, nine weeks ago. That wouldn't work for me. However, prior to ordering, I spoke with customer service and was told it would be ready within 4-6 weeks. After a month, I repeatedly reached out and spoke with several different representatives regarding a update. I spoke with and sent several emails to the customer service manager, who responded with absolutely no information. Yesterday, I yet again called customer service and the customer service manager (Andrew) answered and I requested a call from his manager. Today, I received email from Andrew stating my sofa won't be ready for another four weeks. At no point during the past entire nine week period did anyone at this company value my business enough to even notify me of a delay. Not even during the month I attempted to get a update. This company has beautiful pieces however they aren't worth the headache or aggravation. SAVE YOURSELF

I had been looking for a dining table and buffet table for our new house for months and we just happened to come across Modshop. Katie was extremely helpful (and patient with me :)) as I took the time to figure out what I wanted. They made everything custom, and I mean CUSTOM - they will do whatever you want, down to the hardware. The lead time is a little lengthy (8-12 weeks) but WORTH THE WAIT. I ended up saving a ton of money compared to retail prices and the finished product is gorgeous and high quality. Warning: new furniture may cause jealousy amongst your friends :) I would recommend Katie and Modshop to anyone and will definitely go back!

I can't you how please I am with my beautiful new dining room table. They were so helpful in recommending what would best fit my dining room and budget! I'll be back to finish the rest of the house!

This company should receive ZERO stars. It is a shame that they appear to offer modern/ trendy/chic furniture because the designs are hip but they THE worst furniture company ever! We ordered a piece of furniture last July. Guess what? They delivered it 4 months late AND the wrong item! the invoice couldn't have been more clearer with directions on what we wanted custom built. So while they now have to build an entirely new piece, we held on to the wrong one as a loaner. Come January 2017, we get a lovely surprise from the warehouse in Cali with a picture for approval of the new piece. I kid you NOT they once again build the WRONG piece of furniture. The colors/ patterns were completely off, not even close. We go back and forth through tons of phone calls and emails until they tell us to give them one last shot. They will build ANOTHER piece and if we don't like it they would agree to a refund. Well, here we are in March and they send the picture of the 3rd piece (a credenza) and yet again they could not build it to our specifications. They have ZERO customer service; getting answers is like pulling teeth and you (the customer) have to constantly follow up! absolutely REDICULOUS! I would NEVER buy anything from this company again. They shouldn't advertise something and say they can build custom pieces when they cannot. That is false advertising! Now we've wasted 7 months on an order and have to start this process all over again! THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Save yourself months of agony, unless you like that sorta thing because this place is a farce!

I had a custom curved velvet light blue sofa made. It is absolutely breathtaking. I ordered online with the NY store and it was shipped to NC. I never have been inside the store. There were a couple of delivery issues for sure but now I have my couch and people love it. It is comfortable too.

I ordered Lucite legs online in March 25, 2016, and haven't received them yet. No correspondence, no email, etc. I used the email address noted on the invoice I received when I purchased the items and it came back as undeliverable. I found another email address after going online today and this went through. Had an immediate reply that my items would be shipped out today. My order clearly was overlooked. I am not an architect or a contractor, or an interior designer, I am just a person who wanted Lucite legs to spruce up a chair. I am hopeful the legs I will receive are unbroken and in good shape. Either way, I would not recommend this company - whomever runs this business needs organizational management skills, pronto.

We worked with Modshop and though we came across a few issues and they were helpful in helping us to come to a meaningful and mutual solution. We have received our products and we look forward to seeing ModShop grown.

I have worked on and off with Mod Shop for some years now. Some items I have bought for projects from their showroom and been happy with. I love their selection of furniture and accessories. Their product is fun and unique most of which can't be found most places or in some cases anywhere. They will customize or custom make almost anything which makes them a nice resource. I have had them modify some dining chairs and a dining bench that turned out perfect and I am currently having them make a custom bed for a client to fit around an adjustable mattress. Most of the time they have been responsive and have worked within the timeline they told me. Just recently my client has been the delay but Victoria from Mod Shop would diligently follow up with me every now and then to see if we could get things moving. This is after they received a deposit. Overall I am happy with Mod Shop's service and I LOVE their product!

I wrote a review in the past about this company that was not that favorable. I was working with someone in the LA office and it was not going well. Now, I continue to use ModShop and work with Dallas in the NYC location. He is amazing, responsive and extremely helpful. Dallas, and the company, have been great in making things right for some of my clients lately, when items have come in not as expected. Thank you Dallas for changing my opinion about ModShop!

These people are very unprofessional to work with. They promise a lead time of 6-8 week plus 1 week for shipping. After multiple calls and emails they finally went my chair 5 months later! Do not order from these people unless you have the time to call them over and over months after their promised delivery.

Do not buy anything from ModShop. This was the worst experience I have ever had buying anything. I ordered two sofas online on March 20, 2015, and the order went into production on March 25, 2015. To date, my sofas still have not been delivered, and will not be delivered until mid-July. The website clearly states 6 to 8 weeks for production plus 7 days for delivery. If this is not true, then why not change your website? If you don't have it together, then why not state the truth that it will take a minimum of 3 months plus another 3 weeks for delivery if you are ordering outside of LA. I made over 10 phone calls and emails to them. The owner still has not returned my phone calls or emails. On top of it, I have had to follow up with the overpriced delivery company they contracted to ensure I actually receive my sofas. And, they are no walk in the park either. Do yourself a favor, and stay clear away from this company.
