In the spring of 2018, I made a decision to move my office into another space that was available in the same building. While the new space had potential, it was hard to visualize how to transform it into an area that would meet our needs. I contacted Maryann, from M. Studio Gallery, who brought in her vast experience and creativity. Considering our workflow needs, she drew up a complete design for the new space, adding a wall, taking down a wall, introducing tones and colors that created an overall wonderful work environment that met all of our needs. The real test came during this past tax season, when we really appreciated the well-designed workflow of the space, plus our new office gets lots of compliments from our clients.

It has been a pleasure to work with Maryann Syrek. She has completed many design projects with us, family room, master bedroom, living room, dining room, den, foyer, bathroom and we are very happy with everything she has done. Maryann is creative, easy to work with, practical, cognizant of budget constraints, and is absolutely reliable. She's never been late for a meeting, always delivers on time and has fabulous taste. On our first project, she took my vague ideas and turned them into exactly what I wanted. She found a really nice way of redirecting me when I went astray. The finished product was beautiful. In our current project, she has bargained on my behalf to get the best prices possible. I can't recommend her enough or praise her integrity, skills, and professionalism enough.

I worked with Maryann on a bathroom design and complete overhaul. I started my bathroom project (complete replacement and modernization) thinking I could just go to Home Depot and get everything right. Boy, was I wrong. Maryann stepped in and completely saved my project. Her knowledge of materials, fixtures (drains, faucets, sinks, shower doors and especially tile) was invaluable. She sourced everything for me avoiding all the “out of stock” problems which plagued me on my own. She met with all workmen to solve the inevitable small glitches. But most important, she provided the right direction, always suggesting what I considered to be great design. I am very happy with her work and professional manner. I’ll be a repeat customer when I overhaul my other bathroom.

I can not say enough about Maryann she is truly amazing at her craft and anyone that hires her will be beyond satisfied with the results. I recently renovated our banquet venue and interviewed quite a few design teams, but at the end of the day no one came close to Maryann. Not only was she diligent and creative but most importantly she was patient and was able to explain to me the vision even when I could not see it. She made our project her own and understood our needs and wants all while managing to stay within budget. I would give her 100 stars if I could and look forward to the opportunity of working together with her again.

My husband and I hired Maryann is we were slowly renovating our daytime cafe into a dual usage space. Cafe by day, wine bar by night. We didn't make her job easy as we could only afford to do it in stages. Mary Ann has so many resources as she has designed a variety of places and we tapped into her quick and oh so tasteful eye. She knew our area and got a true sense of our wants in terms of "rustic yet classy" feel. From subtle paint shades to new light fixtures/ceiling fans and even developing a whole new wall-length banquette from scratch - customers came in to just see what Maryann had added next. And she stayed within our budget! She even helped in the commissioning/framing and placement of a custom painting that ended up being the centerpiece of our bar. She worked easily with our carpenters and did all of the trouble shooting with her vendors to get us timely delivery with the best value. Her husband, Richard, would even sop in to hold a measuring tape. A delight to work with. If I could - I'd have her redo my whole house!!!
