About Us

I'm a professional painter working out of my NE Minneapolis Studio located in the Northrup King Builing. My paintings often features familiar sights such as fauna and flora in stylized or abstract settings rendered in vibrant colors painted on canvas and wood. I will gladly meet with you to discuss your ideas for painting commissions for either your home or business.

I have ordered artwork from Nickyworks, set up an in-person meeting at her studio, bought from her at her studio, and had communications about selling and showing her work. In all instances she was professional and expert. She was expedient in all transactions. Her work is wonderful and her commissions VERY impressive! I highly recommend working with her for her fine work and her warm and responsive nature.

I hired Nicky to create an artwork that was in her style, but was part of a general theme that I had going. It was well within her abilities, and she did an excellent job with it.

I saw Nicky's work in a coffee shop and loved it. There was one piece in particular that I wanted for my living room, but I needed a different size. Nicky came out to my house and looked at the colors and lighting, then created a version of the painting to fit my space. She sent sketches first for my approval. The whole process went smoothly, was faster than I expected, and was reasonably priced. Nicky has a wonderful style, and is a nice person, too! I would definitely recommend her.

Very friendly and prompt communication. We had several discussions on details of a commissioned painting. Information was provided on when I could expect the work and I was notified when it was done and shipped. Everything was handled in a very timely manner. And - best of all - the painting was beautiful :) I would definitely do business with Nicky again!
