Nova Tayona Architects

Nova Tayona Architects provided us with the plans to renovate our home which was built in 1883 so there were a number of unusual challenges to consider because of its age. Nova and her staff were attentive to our requests and respectful of our time and questions. She made many suggestions that were very helpful. Now that the renovation is nearly over and I am living with the results of the advice she gave, I am grateful for her input. Everything looks lovely and I feel comfortable in my home which was not the case before the renovation.

We hired Nova Tayona Architects to design and oversee the installation of several items including a custom TV unit/ book case, desk, den storage, and entry closet. We were very pleased with the thoughtfulness and professionalism brought to the work. Great consideration was made to be respectful of the existing space and the end result blends beautifully into the initial architecture of our modern penthouse loft. In addition to the aesthetic, great consideration was also made for the functionality. All of our needs (whether it be incorporating electronic components into the TV unit or shoe considerations for the entry closet), it was all masterfully integrated. In the end, the project was successfully completed on budget and we are immensely pleased with the quality of work done on these additions in our home.

We hired Nova for a small job - a built-in closet for our hallway. From the pre-planning to follow-up, our experience with Nova was delightful and professional. Her designs were thoughtful and intelligent and really good-looking. And the final product was gorgeous. When we thought the job was done, Nova continued to follow-up with us and the builder to ensure that we were satisfied with the work. We love our closet and loved our experience.

Nova is an excellent resource for anyone looking for a highly competent, creative, and detail-oriented architect! From drawings to design decisions, it was a wonderful working with her. In addition to her design ideas, problem-solving savvy, and technical expertise, we especially appreciate her approach to the consultation process. She takes time to listen, engage, and include her clients to ensure success....so key for a large and lengthy project. The scope was broad and included both interior and exterior work: new kitchen and master bath, gutted and dug basemen with new bathroom, relocation and design of new stairs, new HVAC/electrical, re-design of backyard including deck with stairs and shed.
