Peter Hovey is a true professional. In simple words he did what he promised. It was pleasure working with him as we had an odd size fireplace and we wanted something fairly specific. He was very accommodating and allowed us to construct exactly what we wanted and in a timely fashion.

This company created a bench for my fireplace. I had admired them in British magazines but was never able to find them for purchase in stores or magazines. This was a long distance collaboration to create the bench as we are on separate coasts, but communication was good and the bench was created to my specifications. I am very pleased with it.

Old English Fireplace Fender! I now own and thoroughly enjoy a beautiful, commissioned piece of functional and artistic furniture. Owner, Peter Hovey, was a pleasure to work with in all aspects from design to completion. Peter was very prompt, thoughtful, and detail oriented in answering emails. The pictures I viewed on his website were great, but I wanted more scroll work on my piece to match my front door. He was very receptive to my ideas and came up with the final design that I absolutely love. We entertain quite a bit, and I needed another seating area in my living room, and this was the perfect solution! Totally custom and unique! The entire design process took a few weeks and then I had it delivered to my Wisconsin address within 6 weeks of my original contact. These fenders are made of real wrought iron, forged by a blacksmith, so they are very sturdy. I know I will cherish this item for my lifetime and pass it on to my children. The owner of Old English Fireplace Benches recently delivered a beautiful club fender for a decorating project that I am doing in a historic hotel lobby. The large fireplace desperately needed furniture that created a welcoming, inviting feel to the area. For me, nothing does that as well as a club fender.
