I have been making and restoring since 1990. I have restored for museums, trade and private individuals. I offer a comprehensive restoration service covering traditional cabinet making techniques with veneers, solid timbers, turning, dovetail jointing etc...I also have a very in-depth knowledge of traditional finishing with shellacs, oils, waxes, milk paints, gilding...My knowledge was enhanced by working at the European Centre of Conservation in Venice- giving me an invaluable insight into the use of traditional /historic materials. This knowledge of furniture construction and design detail has carried through to the bespoke furniture that I make. The use of contemporary materials and construction techniques enables me to make a broad spectrum of furniture styles and engineered wood solutions.
