We hired Bondeko to renovate our half bathroom/laundry room after having had them do a smaller project a couple years ago. The bathroom renovation was my first renovation and while I had a general idea of what I wanted, I wasn't sure about the specifics of the project. Orson walked us through what would be needed to do the job right and provided great design ideas so that we were all on the same page before the project even started. As to be expected with an old house, there were some previously unknown issues hidden behind the floors and walls that popped up over the course of the project which Orson brought to our attention promptly and explained next steps and options to us. We also had an issue with the vanity we picked out from a store and ended up having Bondeko custom build our vanity for us. This was a pretty major mid-course addition to our project and the team took it on without batting an eye. It ended up being the best decision we could have made! The cabinets and vanity are beautiful! The whole room is gorgeous. Thank you to the whole Bondeko team! They are highly skilled and wonderful people to work with! Can't wait to work with them again!

We couldn't recommend Bondeko enough. We had never done a renovation before, and needed to stick to a budget. Orson understood what we wanted from the get-go, and he was a great communicator - sharing options, opinions and good advice. We could trust his great sense of design. The MOST impressive factor in working with Bondeko is the persistence without frustration exhibited by the entire team when faced with unexpected adversity on the job. Not a hint of resentment. The next most impressive thing is they simply enjoy their work and have FUN doing it. In my view contractors are very serious, almost as if unable to express fun for fear it would make their work less valuable. I'm very happy I hired Bondeko and hired again when the next arose.

After discussing our project and getting a quote, we began to specify several changes in the design. We switched from painting the woodwork to stripping it, revealed a previously hidden steel beam and added a huge amount of specialty wood paneling detail. The Bondeko crew was great at adapting on-the-fly to the new requests.. If your project has any unusual design details - this company seems to love the challenge and be both innovative and creative in execution. Additionally they are somewhat atypical in that, if necessary, they will work evenings and weekends. They can handle almost aspect of the job - walls, flooring, cabinetry, etc. but finish carpentry and tile work are where they excel.

I hired Bondeko to asssist with a significant renovation of my home (built in 1880) It included removing a load bearing wall, electical work, sheet rock, and finish carpentry. They di a great job in all aspects of the work and contributed a number of ideas to the finished product, The crew was hard working and they left the worksite clean. I would have them do additional work should a new projuct come up. The renovation looks great and inclueded a reclaimed beam found on the beach.

Orson and his team did an outstanding job working on both our house and the custom work on a tiny house vacation cabin we built. On the main house Orson built cherry cabinet doors to match our existing cabinets which matched perfectly! He also did extensive re-construction on our front porch as well as painting. On the tiny house Orson installed tongue and groove beadboard on the walls and ceiling, beautiful reclaimed trim on the entire cabin inside, built and installed custom cabinets and built in couches/beds for sleeping, and did all the painting inside as well as the finished stain on the log siding outside. We are thrilled with the work that Orson and his team did for us and would highly recommend them! J and T

My wife and I were looking to add a third floor and deck on the rooftop and after interviewing a number of contractors we were won over by passion and creativity Orson brought to the table. Now that the project is complete we could not be happier with our decision (you can see pictures of it on his homepage). Orson was with us throughout the entire permit and historic preservation approval process and was instrumental in allowing both of those agencies to allow us to move forward. Once the process began he and his crew were very professional, consistent and contentious, on top of being very hard-working and dedicated to the quality of their craft. Needless to say a major project on a roof in downtown Portland has many logistical and physical challenges, but none of that deterred Orson and his crew as they came up with solutions to new problems time and time again. Now that the process is completed not only do we have an beautiful new addition to our home but also a trusted friend whom services we very highly recommend.
