We worked with Allan from Outlaw Carpentry to design and build a multi-level deck on the back of our house. Allan navigated many technical aspects of this job which required him to work in tandem with a stone-mason contractor who was simultaneously installing a stone patio beneath the deck. They communicated well resulting in both intelligent and beautiful design. He helped install a spiral staircase to the yard, a simple set of steps to connect what had previously been two separate levels, and lighting to bring it all together. Allan was attentive; he listened to what we wanted and came up with some of these strong ideas to help us achieve it. His bid came in cheaper than others. Allan was meticulous during the construction process which meant the job took a bit longer than we expected - but we were not in a rush — and as we saw the quality of Outlaw’s work unfold we were both impressed and eager to sit on what has become our favorite room in the house. Allan is welcome to stop by, admire his own construction, and share a cold beer so we can thank him in person.
