About Us

Parmé Design is a successful Garden Design Consultancy based in Cheshire, owned and run by Clare McEnery. Parmé Design has been designing, building and planting beautiful gardens in Dorset, Sussex, Hampshire, Cheshire, the Wirral and North Wales for over 17 years. Our gardens are well-structured with clean simple lines, uncluttered and calm yet still places to be enjoyed, cherished and admired by all. Passionate about good, lasting design, I aim to use the best quality landscaping products and ensure planting is an intrinsic part of the design process. I believe that the true test of any garden is not just how it looks in the Summer when borders are brimming with colour, but also how it looks through the long cold months of Winter. I specialise in rejuvenating tired borders and creating beautiful Planting Plans, working on Country gardens and Estates but also conversely(!) love the clean lines of hedges and topiary found in the Dutch and Flemish style.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new garden! We had a thin, North facing garden that felt very drab and boxed in but Clare’s design has transformed the space. It now feels wide, open and bright and we use the space much more often. Clare made the design process really enjoyable, involving us throughout and providing pictures and suggestions to help us develop our ideas. We wanted a low maintenance garden that still looked full of plants and colour and that’s exactly what we’ve got. We knew nothing about plants but Clare understood the look we were after and sourced plants that suited our style. The finished result is fantastic. We would highly recommend Parme Garden Design.

Excellent contemporary urban garden design, with focus on the little details that made the project stand out. Things like screening the bins, how to hide the shed, the flow between different sections of the garden making a long/thin garden feel much bigger, the architectural elements of the design and planting and also consideration of colour schemes, how the plant colours work with the hard landscape element such as dark colours on the fencing to make planting stand out. Great job all round. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Parme garden design were excellent from start to finish. Clare always listened to our requirements and nothing was ever too much trouble. The end result is just perfect! Better than I thought and we have had a fab summer in our new garden.
