Paul Henry's Window Installation, Inc.

We did not have a good experience with Paul Henry Windows. After signing the contract in mid-April and paying a $20,000 deposit (on a 40,000 total), they kept delaying the installation. It was originally scheduled for mid-August, and when August came around, they rescheduled it for December. They showed up on Dec 18 and sent only a two-man crew. One of the reasons we went with them was their supposedly thorough installation which requires removing existing window sills and inside sheetrock. Unfortunately, that creates a lot of disruption and dirt in the house. Because they sent only two men, the job took them nine days. Nine days before and after Christmas in which our house was in complete turmoil. That, as you can imagine, was very disruptive. Furthermore, the week before our scheduled date, our son had a bad snowboarding accident and spent three days in the ICU with a brain bleed and concussion. We took him home the day before Paul Henry's started their work and frankly, for the week before that date, we were focused on our son and not the scheduled window installation. Our son was still very, very ill the first week they worked. Moving our date would have moved it to Spring, so that was out of the question. Because of his accident (for which we had to travel out of town to get him), we were behind in preparing the house (blinds down, drapes down, furniture moved). Even though I had two rooms ready to go, and was ready to prepare more as they worked, they changed the order in which they wanted to install the windows and insisted on starting in rooms that were not prepared. They started taking the blinds down (rather than letting me do it). To add insult to everything, they tacked on a $900.00 extra charge for the blinds they spent a total of about two hours removing. They never even apologized for the long delay and for then sending just a two-man crew and they showed no sympathy or empathy for the fact that we were focused on our sick son. They thanked us for our months of patience by assessing that ridiculous added charge. I think the hourly rate the neurosurgeon charged us was lower than the hourly rate they charged us for the blinds they took down. In sum, the entire experience with that company has been a big disappointment. Smooth sales pitch but poor customer service.

In August of 2013, my husband and I purchased a home that was in need of many major repairs, all of which were a surprise to us, otherwise we would have shied away from the property. My husband works out of town so I'm left with scheduling and supervising any repairs and maintenance. Because we were unfamiliar with the area, we had to start from scratch building our list of vendors. Many vendors "pretended" to fix each of the problems that arose and after spending many $$$$$ and suffering the mental torture of dealing with unethical companies, we struck gold when I called Paul Henry to attend to a mess that another company left. I can't begin to express the relief that I felt when he and his crew came to our house, spent countless time explaining issues and answering questions and subsequently followed up with pure solutions to all of our issues. Their craftsmanship is impeccable and their manner is top notch. We are customers for life!! Paul Henry is truly a trustworthy, caring individual who takes pride in his work and the work of his employees. All of his employees are well-mannered, respectful in all ways and extremely talented craftsmen. craftsmen. You can't get any better that Paul Henry!!

The total experience from pre-sales through delivery was outstanding. My prior experience is that usually I hire pretty good people and I’m satisfied, but there’s always something minor that happens. With Paul, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything they said they would do they did.

They are a locally owned business, and we felt like he was more straightforward than the other larger companies out there. Also, the prices were reasonable for the type of window that we purchased, which was one of his top of the line models. His crews were professional, efficient and more than happy to clean up after their work. We bought a third of the windows last year, the 2nd third this year. There was no comparison as far as the pricing was concerned. I was quoted about $10,000 higher with another company - and even with their promotion, there was still no comparison to Paul Henry’s prices.
