Our firm, Haver & Skolnick Architects, has come to rely on Opus for all our client's audio/visual & home automation needs. They recently fully-automated a new 12,000 s.f country home for our clients, integrating a/v, mechanical systems, lighting, and security all into a very easy to use system. The clients were so pleased, they hired Opus for the a/v in the New York Apartment. Working with David Barson, Peter Fitton, John DellaVentura and their team has been a true pleasure. Opus salespeople are knowledgable and installation and service people are very neat and professional. When they are finished, the job is perfect.

The overall job was between pretty good and good - 3 and 3 1/2 stars. The installation of the TV was fine. The clean-up of the work area right at the TV was fine - the dust all over the room from the work was problematic, especially since I offered t get drop cloths for the furniture/room. Also, both rooms required some final set-up of the electronics prior to being able to use them. At this point I don't remember exactly what the family room required, it had to do with setting-up the new 3D blue ray play on the internet. And the master bedroom required that the Apple TV be set-up. Neither of which are big deals but it would be much better if that was done by Opus or, worst case, that simple easy to follow directions for doing so were included/left behind.

As an industry professional, I rarely come across a company as professional as the people at Opus AV in North Haven, CT. The entire staff is dedicated to perfection in Audio/Video & Home Automation systems. I have had the pleasure of working with them for almost 20 years and have never worked with any AV Company who cares for their craft as much as Opus. Opus installed our entire Lutron and Crestron systems. They take care of our Audio, Video, and Lighting controls. We have been very pleased with all of our systems and especially happy with their service. We have a complicated set up and it has worked from day 1. Opus designed the project for our new home in 2004 and we have been using them ever since. We highly recommend them.

I have worked in this industry in the past, and chose to have Opus work on my house, knowing their reputation for the very best execution. I was not disappointed. The project involved music in eight rooms, with video in three areas including the Family Room, in which we have the choice of watching either a 60" flat panel or a 100" projection system which is totally hidden until used. All video sources, including a Blu-Ray movies, can be viewed and controlled from any of the video zones. The design is great, operation is simple, and the follow-up support is prompt and superb. Opus is recommended highly!
