Ken is professional and passionate about his work. He refinished my oak cabinets and took the damaged cabinet doors and drawer to be fixed. I had spent months looking for someone who could repair the three cabinet doors and match the color. All the quotes I received were based on replacing all the cabinet doors because it was not possible to repair our old oak and match the color. Ken told me it was possible and he took the damaged doors to his contact to be repaired. He went above my expectations at a very reasonable price. On the damaged drawer, he picked it up in the morning and it was repaired, color matched and returned the same day - on a SUNDAY. I saved money by using his service, compared to the other quotes. I also liked the fact that he picked up all the cabinet doors and drawer fronts and refinished them away from our house so we could continue using the kitchen. We recently contracted with Quality Touch-Up to strip and stain our kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom cabinets. The process began with Ken Fay, the owner of the company, coming out to our home and providing an estimate. After signing a contract, Ken took several doors to provide samples of various shades of finish. Once we decided the finish we wanted, he scheduled the work. Ken was very flexible in his scheduling of the work. At our request, he delayed the start of the project for about a month because we were on vacation and had some other commitments. The project schedule went just as Ken had told us it would. First, the doors and drawers were removed and taken to his shop for stripping, sanding, and staining. Once that was complete, Ken and his crew came to work on the cabinet faces. The work that Ken performed in our home took four days, beginning with taping and ending with the installation of the newly stained doors and drawers. Daily cleanup was good. The overall project took about ten days. The quality of the work was excellent. The only thing we thought could have been done a little better was the touch-up where there was a bit of overspray or where removal of the tape peeled the paint. I am also confident that had I brought this to Ken's attention, he'd have been out to the house within a day or two to fix it. Ken is very customer-focused. Ken provided a very competitive bid for this work. In fact, his price was not much more to do all our cabinets as a price we got from the second lowest contractor to do just the kitchen. That caused me some concern simply because of the low price. But I found Ken to be willing to do anything we asked and in the end, the cabinets look fantastic. I highly recommend Quality Touch-Up for cabinet refinishing. You will get a quality product at a very competitive price.

Very professional. Ken, the owner came to quote the job, and explain the process. He is very knowledgable and helped me update my kitchen cabinets with stain and custom moldings, giving it a whole new look! Ken stained a sample door twice to ensure I was happy. After I saw the sample quality, I actually added my bar and laundry cabinets to the order as well. Antonio did the staining, hard working, very conscientious of the work. My hardware came in late, so Ken had to make a 2nd trip back to install it, called right away and scheduled the appt. My kitchen update also included new quartz countertops, backsplash, lighting, and floor.
