We hired Gerald for a $1,000,000 remodel project in Kirkland WA, in which we basically stripped the house to the stud and rebuilt & extended. Gerald came highly recommended by a neighbor, and we were impressed by his level of professionalism, friendliness and smarts. Gerald came up with incredibly smart solutions to some of the design constraints we had. Gerald is also a real pro, who knows the building code inside out which is extremely handy. When I went to City of Kirkland to pay for the permit, the person in charge of planning said something along the line of, "Oh, these are from Redding Architects, great. This means they will be perfect and I'll approve them in no time".

Architect plans for a new room. Replaced a traditional glass sunroom with a room with a gabled roof, large vertical glass, and no visible support beam. The design blends with the original construction. Gerald was very easy to work with and understood our desires right away. He came up with the concept that fit our vision. Excellent.

Gerald Redding, an Architect you can trust. My wife and I worked with Gerald over the course of our 3 year whole-house remodel project. Together we redesigned a 950 sf cottage into a and 1850 sf home suitable for our retirement years. Working with Gerald was a pleasure. We had strong concepts of what we wanted to bring to our home and Gerald worked with us every step of the way. Good guidance. Good ideas. Good problem solving. Excellent designer. A great partner. My husband and I worked with Gerald on a major house remodel on a house we considered demolishing. It is a 1950's mid-century modern that had been loved to pieces, literally. He brought several ideas to the table for renovation and encouraged us to fully participate in all the decisions. It was a labor of love, but well worth it. Gerald has a depth of knowledge in architecture as well as product knowledge. His calm demeanor and confidence made him a pleasure to work with!

After a fire completely destroyed our home, we approached Redding Architects to redraw the original home based on pictures (the building plans were in the home). We then asked Gerald to redesign the home by keeping the best original features and include a number of changes from our wish list. He was able to work his magic and produced a plan that increased the functionality of the home while keeping its beauty and character. Gerald responded to questions and requests in a prompt and professional manner and fulfilled his role as a liaison between homeowners and builder by being accessible and thorough. I am confident that Redding Architects will respond to the needs of any client and still tastefully add the correct amount of creativity needed to make the project unique and functional. I would recommend this firm without reservation.

We had virtually a whole-house remodel putting a 5 piece bathroom downstairs in a fairly tight space and vaulting a ceiling in the living/ dining room for a house that was 40 years old. Gerald made sure the technical aspects were completed for the permitting process and was able to convert our ideas to technical drawings. Great job!

I hired Gerald Redding, principal of Redding Architects LLC, for the renovation of my lakefront home. It was a substantial renovation in which the original 1950's house was taken down to the studs. Gerald incorporated my ideas with his own vision. He is professional, communicates well, and is easy to work with. He produced drawings and made changes and revisions in a timely manner. I could always easily get in contact with him. He did the initial design work and produced a complete set of drawings for submittal to the city. I did not use him to oversee the construction phase but he was always available for consultation. I ended up with a lovely home (with a beautiful the trellis that he designed) that I am thrilled with.

Gerald created an architectural design for our addition that my wife and I had been wanting but with no idea of concept. Gerald took our personal functional requests and joined it with the architecture style of the neighborhood to create a design for a second story and master suite that still get compliments from our friends and neighbors. He was instrumental in working with both of us and gave us some options in the preliminary stages. He has access to expert drafters and structural engineers for second story support. He was also available during the permit process and answered questions during construction. After working with him only a few days, I discovered Gerald is gifted in all styles of architecture. I would highly recommend him for your new home or addition.

Gerald assisted us with a living room and dining room enlargement and remodel. The work included integrating hard wood floors with existing hard wood floors, adding detailed cherry trim, adding french doors and a gas fireplace installation with stone finish. His work was beautiful. Gerald was very responsive to requests for help and additional information. He worked very well with our contractor, often coming to the job site on short notice when the contractor had a question. I would not hesitate to work with Gerald on any project.

Gerald Redding was very helpful and creative in creating plans for our upper floor remodel. He listened well to what we were looking for, and then made helpful suggestions. He drew up our plans, dealt with an engineer who we needed to consult, and processed our permits. We're very happy with his work and recommend him!
