Rik of Red Cloud Builders and Furniture is a fine woodworker. He is artistic in his vision and an excellent craftsman. His furniture and art pieces are exquisite and functional. He is great to work with and listens to the customers wishes or ideas.

For our wedding anniversary I received Rik's fabulous treasure box. I must say, I was moved by its beauty. I know Rik creates his projects with hands and heart, a true craftsman of the highest degree. Our treasure box is used to store those sentiments, our best memories, given to us by family and friends. I see it every day and it reminds me to recognize and appreciate abundance in our lives. Thank you Rik for this most wonderful creation.

I purchased a beautiful maple table from Rik that was made in the mid 90s when he was building a few wood slab tables. It's a large piece about 6ft long and with natural edge--very unusual piece! Has coopered curved legs to it where the trestle bottom is. The workmanship on this table is custom furniture quality for sure--very nicely done. I would give Rik 5 stars for sure. He is a very skilled craftsman.

Besides purchasing 2 pieces of beautiful furniture (a beautiful live edge Maple console table as well as a beautiful hanging shelf) I have hired Ric to make custom dining chairs and a table base. The custom order is currently being made so no pictures at this time. I feel so blessed to have found a custom woodworker near me. His artistic design is beautiful, the furniture he creates has an Asian feel which I LOVE! The combinations of the woods he uses is spectacular, his attention to detail is outstanding. He patiently worked with me and my budget, he's very professional and obviously loves what he does. I look forward to doing business with him in the future. I wouldn't hesitate recommending him. We hired Rik Lawrence dba Red Cloud Builders to craft a custom bookcase/shelving unit for our newly rebuilt home. I had purchased two gorgeous tables from him previously and loved his design esthetic and craftsmanship, and other friends had had fine construction work done as well. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but pretty much left it up to him to come up with a design, which we loved and gave go ahead for project. What he created and installed was exactly right for our living room. He carefully selected beautiful pieces of wood to allow the natural edges and interesting grains to turn a shelving unit into a true piece of art. the project was done in a very timely manner, and Rik and his assistant did a beautiful job of installation, including matching the base to the other baseboard (which I had not even considered). I would absolutely hire Rik and his team again. A true craftsman and master carpenter with great eye for design.
