All the facts in this review by customer Mr. Mike Danko, Attorney and client are incorrect. Here are the facts as of 9/8/15 the same day this review was placed online.

Morris Scop has attempted to provide excellent service as he always has for the 31 years we have been in business and in the 50+ years Morris Scop has been involved in one facet or another in the construction industry. Making a statement that Morris "gave me the runaround" without providing facts is of no value. There are no facts to provide as Mr. Danko was not given the runaround.

2. We had Fedex LTL who damaged the awning in transit check the awning for damage. Mr. Danko has provided false information in this review. The awning is not bent and is not gouged and is not ripped. The only issue per the pictures and Fedex LTL is that the awning has 1 small scratch on it and there is a hole in the valance which is a separate piece of fabric and not part of the main fabric.

3. We offered to send a can of paint at our expense at no charge from the component manufacturer to spray over the small scratch and also to provide a new valance at no charge that is easily replaced by simply loosening a couple of screws on the front bar. Mike Danko declined the can of paint and the new valance. We also offered to have the awning shipped back to our factory at our expense so that we can make a brand new awning for Mike Danko and he also declined that. So, when Mike Danko states that we would not "take the awning back", he is incorrect in his facts.

4. Regarding packaging, Mr. Danko is once again incorrect in his facts: We use specialized packaging with the outer box being of heavy duty compressed board with custom made inner high density foam inserts. We multi strap, staple and use the strongest stranded tape to seal the compressed board boxes. In addition we multi label the boxes "DO NOT USE FORKLIFT" and "THIS SIDE UP" and “USE HANDTRUCKS TO MOVE”. Our packaging was approved several years ago by Fedex LTL.

Mr. Danko has maliciously attempted to discredit and harm Retractableawnings.com by providing this review and similar reviews (including incorrect facts in every review) on many websites. Mr. Danko’s attempt to harm and discredit Retractableawnings.com will not work!

Mike Danko is a trial attorney and our single prior experience with trial attorneys is they often provide the incorrect facts. We have only had one other problem with a customer in many, many years in business and guess what his profession was! We highly recommend staying away from trial attorneys.

Houzz: Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to get the facts straight and not allowing customers like Mr. Danko, Attorney to attempt to discredit companies that have been in business for many, many years that provide excellent products and service as shown by our stellar A+ Better Business Bureau rating.

Updated 3/14/17: Mr. Danko never even responded to my response (to his concern) from 9/8/15 – see above. Doesn’t that tell you something? I might also add that Retractableawnings.com has an A rating on Angieslist.com (the highest rating available)
