Richardson & Associates is a landscape architecture firm driven by an interest in creating places which enrich and provide meaning to the lives of those who use them. We take pride in our design excellence and our ability to work closely with clients to understand their needs and interests. Located in Saco, Maine, we offer a wide range of planning and design services throughout New England. The firm has completed over 450 projects of varying scope, type and scale from small private gardens to large-scale master plans in our 24-year history. The firm's completed work includes a unique balance of private, non-profit and public projects. In particular, the firm enjoys our work in the private sector, focusing on residential planning and design. Residential projects provide a unique opportunity to work closely with individuals and families in the design of the environments in which they live, relax, entertain, and recreate. Properly planned, designed, and implemented, the landscape around one’s home can impact one’s life in significant and important ways including the ways a property may look, function, or feel. At Richardson & Associates we value the goal of creating personal spaces of specific meaning, and find it rewarding to work with architectural and engineering partners, as well as clients, to help all parties articulate their desires and realize their goals. Our residential projects range greatly – from small urban gardens to large coastal family compounds. Our role in residential projects also varies from the initial siting of a single or multiple buildings, the development of a diversity of landscape spaces, addressing circulation throughout a site, and managing and creating views. We can also coordinate and manage the bidding and construction administration of project, seeing it from inception through to completion.
