I cannot say enough good things about Waverly Construction! We hired Russ and his team to design and construct built-ins in our home office, and remodel our family room which included removing the existing wall paneling, installing new doors, windows and trim, adding a coffered ceiling, refacing the fireplace and surround and designing and constructing new built-ins on either side of the fireplace. The final product is absolutely beautiful and more than we could have ever hoped! Russ is very knowledgeable and pays such great attention to detail. He really does a great job blending the new finishes into the existing house. His woodwork is top quality and he's really great at designing and offering advice and recommendations on design. I cannot recommend his work highly enough. Beyond this, Russ and his co-worker Mario are dependable, trustworthy, and efficient. Russ is very accurate with time and cost projections, and does a great job of keeping the homeowner up to date on the work schedule and other important aspects of the project. I will definitely use Waverly Construction for other projects in my home in the future.

Did a total kitchen gut. Everything new, all appliances, new island, lighting, everything. Rec'd nightly email progress reports, w/o having even asked for them. Work completed on time, was incredibly meticulous and they controlled the dust. They were also very conscientious and thoughtful and had very good ideas. Completely and totally 100% satisfied!! There is no job I wouldn't hire them for!! If you want something done right the first time, use these guys!!

How many construction professionals walk around with a notebook and write down every concern and request from a client? Not many but Russ Schif at Waverly does just that! Our kitchen remodel had an initial estimate with all the details and pricing, as well as a timeframe by week. When I went to buy appliances I showed it to the salespeople in the showroom and they too were amazed at the level of detail! The project was delivered on time and in budget and Russ went above and beyond to help with additional 'old house' issues. The kitchen is amazing and any bumps in the road were resolved with Russ's amazing ingenuity....my husband will not let anyone else work on our house but Russ!

We hired Waverly as they had done substantial work on the house we had just purchased. They came on time, equipped with knowledge, professionalism, and a perfect blend of advice and willingness to try a different approach. I would recommend them to anyone.

We were SO pleased with the home renovations (we remodeled 3 bathrooms, our front hallway, living room, family room and kitchen) that Russ (owner) managed for us! He was attentive, detail orientated, reliable, patient, creative (he came up with so many great ideas to utilize our space and meet all our needs!) and his finished product is spectacular. Russ is an amazing builder and master carpenter. Seventeen years ago, my architect, David Preusch of Westport, recommended Russ as a creative, imaginative, honest and credible on time builder that I should use. He has not disappointed me or any of my many friends that I referred him to ever. Our first project was a gazebo at The Ridge in Fairfield. I wanted a restful, peaceful place for my now late husband so he could enjoy the outside and its tranquility. At that time, Russ had never built one before and the end result was an outstanding beautiful structure that has been copied by many. Over the years Russ has completed for me two total home renovation projects; town houses in New Canaan and Rowayton. From kitchens and bathrooms to all other areas of the homes, Russ customized each space to creating marvelous ambience. All his design/build ideas, from tile work to custom cabinetry and millwork, were appropriate to each home style and created 'one of a kind' living spaces. His expertise and initiative was and continues to be invaluable. His work is always professional, completed on time and always comes in on budget. He works extremely well with his clients and is very respected with the independent contractors on jobs. I have referred him to over 10 personal friends which he has done worked for to their complete satisfaction.

Russ Schiff, the owner of Waverly Construction, LLC was referred to us by an extremely pleased client, who's judgement we truly value. We hired Russ to do a total remodel of our kitchen and half bath, five years ago. After five years, we would not change anything about our project. Our remodel was a total demolition of the entire space including walls, floor and ceiling. His thoughtful design input created more usable space to our layout. We've been hesitant with large home improvement projects because we did not have a trustworthy relationship with a contractor. That changed when we met Russ and Waverly Construction. Russ is a great listener, great communicator, very skilled carpenter, and master project manager. He worked very diligently on our bathroom remodel and we couldn't have been more happy. As a result, we had him back a second time to build our screened in porch. Again, Russ exceeded our expectations. He was very professional, punctual, reasonably priced, and crafted a cedar porch that will blow you away. Russ has become a family friend and adviser. The reason I recommend him is because, not only is he very skilled, but is educated, can be trusted, and always provides a clear and understandable plan of attack along with very detailed progress reports along the way. He knows how to plan, execute, and get the job finished within the expected time period. We are excited to have him back for more projects!

After having attic reinsulated with foam insulation it suddenly became usable space. Russ and his guys were terrific. Owner is almost always on site and if not, his #2 is. These are pleasant guys who pay attention to detail and stay on budget and schedule. House was always left clean each day and communication on progress was always provided. His subs (electrician only for this job) were just as good and again- on time and budget. I would highly recommend Waverly Construction.

We hired Waverly Construction for two different projects in 2006 and 2015. The initial project was a renovation and expansion which included a new master bedroom, bath and some architectural details including a portico. The 2015 project included replacing 20 windows in a historic home originally constructed in 1853. This project required incredible attention to detail and troubleshooting as the windows had to be retrofitted to accommodate contemporary window dimensions while maintaining the architectural integrity of our home. Waverly was extremely professional from initial meeting, proposal, engagement during project and follow up to ensure the project was completed on budget and to the highest standards. The principal, Russ, is 100% involved in every aspect of the lifecycle and is trustworthy, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Also, the high level of communication provided by Russ is unparalleled in this industry. We have referred this company to family for significant home renovations and they approached and completed the work with the same level of professionalism and expertise we have come to expect from this company.
