We were VERY HAPPY with our buying experience at Sargent Appliance!!! 

Before coming to Sargent’s in Macomb, Michigan, we had two bad experiences (due to poorly-trained delivery personnel) from both Best Buy and Lowe’s. And, one of these experiences (i.e., Best Buy) was VERY BAD - involving a flash fire (definitely not the fault of our wiring) which caused damage to our home (which is still being remediated!) but which could have been catastrophic - even deadly - were it not for my husband’s quick action with a fire extinguisher at the dryer and again in the basement where the burning aluminum vent fell!!! It was freakish and horrible!!!
 We finally came to Sargent Appliance because, according to our internet search, it was the only store around that sold the particular washer/dryer combination that we were interested in - products which were not only American-made but which also had a rock-solid reputation for dependability and durability. 

And, as we stepped in the door, it was a nice feeling to enter into a more peaceful space devoted exclusively appliances - instead of a blaring big box store with everything from soup to nuts! We were greeted, and, as we found our way to the washers and dryers, someone stepped up to help us. Joe M. was not only a very personable sales associate, he also had a lot of knowledge on all of the different washers and dryers. And, he was able to quickly summarize all of the features of the machines we were interested in, as well as, how they compared with other the available brands. And, once we made our decision, the check-out process was efficient and streamlined. And, as a bonus, we were delighted that the washer/dryer set could be delivered the very next day! We were very satisfied with our in-store experience at Sargents! And, we were so glad…they were there!

 As a final important note, the delivery personnel, who delivered and installed our new washer and dryer the next day, were very polite, very professional, and extremely helpful - even going the extra mile to drill a hole in the laundry tub to ensure that the washer discharge hose was FIRMLY attached and would not accidentally spray out of the tub. And finally, he ensured that there were NO problems with the dryer - which there were not …what a relief!!!

Terrible experience. I live Lake Orion, MI and drove 22 miles roundtrip to Sargent Appliance's Rochester, MI store to look at a new GE refrigerator. We told the salesman that we'd consider the refrigerator and returned home. The next day we decided to buy it and called the store and purchased the unit for $1,400 giving the salesman our credit card information over the phone. He completed the sale over the phone; the charged posted to our credit card account the same day, and the unit was scheduled for delivery the following Saturday. On Saturday we stayed home all day waiting for the delivery, but as the day wore on there was no delivery. Late Saturday afternoon I called the Rochester store to ask where the delivery guy was. The salesman said the unit had been damaged and apologized for not calling to let us know. The salesman agreed to give us a refund if we decided to purchase elsewhere ... which we did. I called the salesman to get the credit to our card and he informed me that I'd have to actually come to the store in order to get our credit. In other words, they take your credit card information over the phone when selling you something, but then insist that you drive 22 miles to get a credit ... all due to their lack of performance. I asked to speak to the manager and told her that if I had to make the drive, it would be my last business with them. She said sorry, but I'd have to make the drive if I want the credit - policy. My wife drove the 22 miles round trip and we finally got the credit to our credit card account 6 days later. My advice ... don't buy from Sargent Appliance.

Beautiful showroom with a very knowledgable staff! They have a large selection of appliances showcasing a number of brands. Highly recommend purchasing appliances from Sargent Appliance.

Very friendly and knows the products like the back of her hand. Sent emails back on her personal time to answer any questions I had as well. After delivery and an issue that I did not notice till weeks later and took care of it right away! Thanks to her assistance my kitchen looks phenomenal!!

Everytime I shop for appliances, I call Charity. Everytime I know someone looking for new appliances, I have them call Chraity.
