Schumacher & Co. Custom Hardwood Floors

Our builder's flooring contractor did not offer the flooring that we wanted. They also did not encourage the use of hardwood, citing humidity in the new construction environment. Our builder gave us a flooring allowance, and we turned to Schumacher & Co. Custom Hardwood Floors, which serves greater Cincinnati, OH. They began monitoring humidity and moisture in the subfloors weeks before our hardwood and cork were delivered to the job-site. And they coordinated with our builder, who turned the HVAC on in time to keep the indoor humidity between 40 and 55 percent. The floors have been stable since installation, even though dry winter temperatures are now here. The floors turned out just the way we wanted-clean lines with a contemporary feel. Schumacher & Co.'s quality control manager and workers clearly are very knowledgeable, and it shows in the finished product.

I contacted Schumacher & Co. to install cork tiles in our kitchen. Their quote was reasonable, and they began the project in a timely manner. Their installers were courteous, punctual, and tireless. They took special care to make sure the floor turned out beautiful, and always left their workspace clean at the end of the day. We needed to have a pantry door shaved down slightly, and an employee was sent out the very next day to remedy the problem. Would highly recommend using Schumacher if you are considering cork flooring.
