My design journey started when a friend recommend I view pictures on Houzz to determine the look, feel and style I wanted to pursue when renovating my NY apartment. Previously I had a very dark pallet with old world design. I began my search on Houzz looking at bathrooms and kitchens covering over 16,490 designers that were listed in the NY area. What I found was I continually gravitated to designs by Sharon Pett & Associates. (Clean, modern, elegant, with beautiful lines) I reached out to Sharon and we met at my apartment and after speaking to her 5 minutes I KNEW this was my MUST have Designer. I am a busy type A business profession whom doesn’t have time to over manage my personal life. Sharon was calm, thoughtful….. not arrogant and the more she spoke with certainty on her vision the more trust I gained as well as a deep appreciation for her obviously incredibly talent in her profession. She shared how she would guide me on different contractors to consider, accompany me on trips to choose finishes and in my case also guide me on soft design. The whole process she noted would take about a year. I immediately hired Sharon and it became one of the BEST decisions and investment. As the project began Sharon was true to her word introducing me the some of the finest contractors to whom were incredibly honest (not nickel and dimers) as well as tile, floor, cabinets plumbing, stone, drape vendors EVERYTHING. Likewise, Sharon was very in tune to what I wanted to spend on my project and NEVER EVER tried to up sell me nor recommend any vendors that would. Likewise, she project managed my renovation to precision so much so that there were many weeks I did not even come on site given I trusted her expertise and knew things would move smoothly which they did. Sharon Pett is a brilliant talented design professional with the highest integrity one could hope for. When you choose Sharon you not only get one of the finest designers in the city but the added bonus of the best contractors and vendors that work with the same level of integrity. I look at my apartment now and know I could NEVER EVER have achieved this beautiful result myself. When people walk into my apartment there are 3 things I usually hear, WOW, OH MY GOD, or BEYOND Elegant. I am deeply grateful and appreciative of my choice of Designers. Upper West Side 2 Bedroom Our project involved the complete demolition and renovation of a two bedroom, two bath condominium apartment on the upper west side of Manhattan. We interviewed several interior architects/designers before we met Sharon Pett. Sharon was immediately able to identify our goals and personality styles and convey how her skills and experiences would achieve those goals. Like most people, we wanted maximum design services at the least possible cost; and to renovate our apartment with the finest finishes possible, in the least amount of time, also at the least possible cost. As Sharon described her approach, which included a large amount of hand holding, and suggested her fee structure, we immediately knew Sharon Pett was the right designer for our project. Sharon listened closely to our layout ideas and quickly provided conceptual plans setting forth those ideas as well as providing alternatives with various suggestions. Many of those suggestions resulted as features that really contributed interest and richness to the final design. Sharon accompanied us on countless field trips near and far (from White Plains NY to Edison NJ, from Hawthorne NJ to Long Island, NY) to assist on the selection of all our finishes including but not limited to kitchen cabinets, kitchen tiles, kitchen countertops, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, bathroom tiles, flooring, doors, molding, hardware, light fixtures. During construction Sharon worked collaboratively with our contractor on “unforeseen” conditions, installation obstacles and “in the field” design adjustments. Since the completion of our project, numerous neighbors have called to say they heard raves about our apartment and inquired whether we would allow them to come take a look. My wife and I know that the end product that we enjoy every day would not have been achieved without Sharon’s contribution. Again, we thank Sharon for turning our dream into reality. Sharon was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend her to anyone.

Thanks to Sharon, I have the home of my dreams! She's a real pro. She had a lot of really great ideas about how to update my two bedroom apartment. Sharon proved to be an excellent listener which resulted in moving me closer to a final decision rather than just going in circles. She was very hands on and patient through out the whole process, even when I changed my mind. She stood her ground with the contractor or fixture suppliers but was always professional. Working with Sharon was wonderful and I can't recommend her highly enough.

Sharon and I worked together for 9-10 months on a big project on UWS, Sharon was very professional and easy to work with, I look forward to our next project together!!
