About Us

Settle provide an all round interior design service, including a totally bespoke upholstery and cabinet design and making service. We concentrate on attention to detail in the quality, design and finishing of our fine English made products. We specialise in offering a fabulous interior design service to accompany our products. We also provide a wide range of complementary home accessories both from these Isles and from the far flung, concentrating on the fascinating, the unusual and the practical. Items that are handmade and unique are our passion and include everything from mirrors to photo-frames, lighting to rugs as well as pictures, glassware, oriental artefacts, cushions, lanterns and ceramics. We are happy to offer interior ideas and inspiration for your personal space. Established in 1997, Settle is still family owned and run from our base in Royal Tunbridge Wells and our production facilities in Nottinghamshire and Suffolk. In addition to our passion for design, innovation and quality we delight in the practical and the fun. We trade ethically, we strive to use as many natural products as we possibly can, and we always check for sustainability.

It is all about 'the client' and they bend over backwards to understand your brief and help you fulfil your dream. There is no pushy sales service. Marianne and Richard go to so much trouble and effort to help their customers. When I moved into my new (very small) flat they taught me to measure, measure, measure. They delivered my newly covered (perfectly matched) armchair in person, positioned all my furniture and generally got me straight. They told me where to get my rugs cleaned and taught me how to measure for curtains. They even taught me how to calculate the diameter of the dining table I needed. I ordered all my Christmas gifts on-line during lock-down and they were delivered, gift wrapped, in plenty of time. Marianne and Richard and their team are a mine of information. Every home should have Settle!

We have ordered a number of bespoke sofa's from settle throughout the years. They are alway very patient and helpful with the design process with a gorgeous range of fabrics. We were delighted with the results, the sofa's are stunning.

My husband and I bought our sofas from Settle as we wanted ones that would be British made, beautiful, and made to our specific requirements. The service we received from start to finish was excellent and personal. Even when I first visited Settle on the off chance, just to have a look at what they did and long before we were ready to go ahead, I was very impressed by the helpfulness of the co-owner Richard, who took time to talk with me about what they could offer. Subsequently they made two visits to our home to discuss our needs and what would work in the space we have. We are delighted with the finished items, which look stunning and are extremely comfortable. The craftsmanship is superb. It has been a pleasure to do business with Settle - and we are already in discussion with them about purchasing more furniture for our lounge and dining area.
