Murals and Decorative Painting by Shannon Geis

Shannon is fantastic! She is very talented and creative. But moreover her bubbly personality is contagious. I can't wait to work with her again.

The nonprofit organization, Rebuilding Together Peninsula, undertook several elementary school renovation projects in the summer of 2013. We contacted Shannon based on a recommendation as someone who could help us enliven the school scene with some colorful, child-friendly mural work. Shannon readily agreed. During this period she coordinated design and production of seven mural features working with staff to maintain schedule deadlines and supervising large numbers of volunteers who assisted with the painting activities. As a clear sign of her attention to detail, Shannon often would return after the volunteers to do touch-up and refine the design to her personal standard. Shannon has been a highly successful addition to our team approach at Rebuilding Together and we look forward to working with her again on projects upcoming.

Shannon & Co donated a ton of time to design and paint the mural in a waiting room SF General Hospital for a Rooms That Rock 4 Chemo project that was dedicated to a young boy who lost his life 10 years ago. Not only did Shannon do an amazing job with the design and artwork, but she also was super wonderful to work with. She took the time to involve all the volunteers and family members that showed up to participate in the creation of the re-designed room. Her artwork is AMAZING. And she's such a nice person to work with. I am beyond grateful for all that she has given to this truly meaningful project.

Shannon was the chief muralist for SF General Hospital chemotherapy remodel, sponsored by RoomsThatRook4Chemo. This particular room was dedicated to the memory of my little boy. She has a powerful artistic force and energy, and she captured his lovely, playful spirit. She has the great gift of taking artistic direction and transforming it into a workable vision and finally into reality. Her technical skills as an artist are outstanding, and she really takes enormous ownership and pride in her work. I would highly recommend Shannon.

Shannon has donated her time and beautiful work on three San Francisco Bay Area projects for our non profit. RoomsThatRock4Chemo transforms physical spaces from sad and drab to hopeful, lovely and FUN. San Francisco General Hospital received this gift November 1, 2, and 3, 2013. Shannon transformed the waiting room at the Chemotherapy Unit into a sea of wonderful creatures, fish and sparkle. Inspiration was a combination of her whimsical ways and a young boy to whom the project was dedicated. Nicolas Sommerfield was just six years old when he was hit in a crosswalk and died. Ten years later giving his love of the beach to Shannon, she transformed the room with the help of Nicholas' father and brother is who now 13. There will be a dedication on November 15, 2013. She is a gifted artist, a patient and loving soul, and a generous spirit who gives of herself in such a unique and wonderful way. I applaud her dilligence, expertiese, and enouragement in letting other "help" and feel part of what she is doing. A patient teacher, and a beautiful woman inside and out. You will be totally impressed with her work as she transforms your world. Thank you Shannon always.

We contracted Shannon to create an "under the sea" mural for our nursery. We exchanged ideas and lots of photos and the resulting mural is amazing. She captured exactly what we wanted in terms of look and feel and her pricing is very reasonable. We could not have asked for a better mural! Our baby will love it and we really enjoy looking at it. We are extremely satisfied with her work and highly recommend her!

Shannon is an amazing artist. She is creative and will work with you to create exactly what you want. When she worked at my house she had my kids help out with the design and the painting. The whole family was involved with the project and very happy with the outcome.
