Shift Painting

Absolute worst experience with a “contractor” we’ve ever had. They don’t actually do the work themselves. They are just liaisons who hire subcontractors and mark up their prices. Initial quote including drywall repair which was “no problem at all” and was told would be included in the quote. I fielded half a dozen calls to answer tedious questions about my quote. Many calls and emails to schedule an “initial walk through” for the project and said she’d call on Friday for final details of my Monday project start. We never received a call and then the company did not show up on Monday. When I contacted them, they said they called Friday to say they wouldn’t be starting Monday but didn’t leave a message even though I asked them to email or message everything so it was in writing. The next day it was 10 am and they hadn’t arrived because they went to a home in Scottsdale when I live 40 miles away in Surprise. The “project manager” then said they still needed to pick up the paint which I didn’t understand because she said the reason they weren’t able to start on Monday is because there was an issue with product availability and they would be getting it Monday for Tuesday. Plus, why would their guys even go to the home (in Scottsdale) without supplies. Upon arrival at nearly 11 am after waiting around all morning, we needed to do yet another walk through with the “project manager” and the subcontractor. Not quite sure what the first walk through was even for. Literally a waste of time. The subcontractor then proceeds to say that he can not do the ceiling drywall repair which was in the original quote and the only reason we elected to go with this company. So after showing how incompetent this company was, we decided to not go with them any more. Which the project manager just kept repeating that she only wants us to be comfortable. After that happened we are then informed that we are now liable for all of the materials they purchased for the job (even ones that could be reused on another job) and received an inflated invoice for a thousand dollars. Yet the paint sample we gave them did not match the product type they provided and they would not give us our quart back which we paid for. Not anywhere in the paperwork or quote does it say anything about a cancellation policy or that we are subject to any fees or fines for not using their services. Especially when they did not stick to the terms of their own agreement and were completely incompetent and unprofessional.

I would use them again. The quote was quick and easy, the team was available earlier than anticipated, and the work was high quality. Even though the project took more effort than they originally expected, they did not pass that cost along to us.

A great company that does what they say, when they say it. Can't ask for me and their pricing was extremely competitive and they used the best paint out there.

Contract process was excellent. Prompt response from all employees and excellent time between contract and availability of painting dates. Great handling of my HOA as well.

Easiest painting experience ever! From the way they do their initial bid, to the hardworking crew, and the follow up afterwards. Great communication from beginning to end. Will definitely recommend to everyone. They painted my 3000 square ft home in 3 days!

Can't say enough good things about this company. They did a fantastic job painting the fascia around my house and also a great job painting the entire perimeter wall. They always kept me informed by email before the job was started and gave me a great quote without even coming out to the house.

Absolutely wonderful -the quality of work was exceptional, very reasonably priced & workers were professional & took great care to ensure I was satisfied. that said, the customer service is beyond excellent from quote to finish - with a rep walking you through each step of the process - now that's "Customer Service" I highly recommend them.

My husband and I were very happy with the final product. We had several rooms painted and besides the paint looking great the guys did an excellent job of protecting my furniture, wood floors and grass cloth wallpaper. The whole job was finished in two days. I did find some spots that needed a little touch up after the crew left and they came back and didn't leave until I was satisfied. Mike was the customer service representative for Shift and all the scheduling went through him. He also came out on the first day to introduce himself and came out again when the job was finished. Excellent job and follow through. Happy to recommend.

Absolutely a great painting company. From the quote to the finish they were very pleasant to work with. The crew showed up on time with a pleasant attitude and did a great job prepping the exterior for paint. They were very courteous and and fast. The whole job was finished in 3 days and we are extremely pleased with their work. I will highly recommend Shift Painting to everyone needing a great paint job on their home.

They were very professional and helped fill out the HOA paperwork making this and easy job for me. Once started they were done in a matter of days. Kathleen kept me in the loop all the time so customer service was great. Even with all of this their prices still beat the other guys I reviewed. Thank you Shift Painting for a job well done.

While my initial experience started sour, it ended very sweet! The project manager was very good in resolving my issue and the crew sent out were awesome from personality to workmanship! I am very pleased that I selected Shift to do my project and would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to have quality work that's guaranteed and reliable.
