About Us

Shiplights specializes in UL Listed Interior / Exterior lighting for residential and commercial use. Our durable solid brass lighting is typically available in over ten finishes ranging from unlacquered brass to chrome to satin nickel to oil rubbed bronze to powder coated colors and more. Our lighting fixtures can be used in all locations throughout the home. Their solid brass construction makes them ideal for use in humid and seaside locations (as they will never rust or corrode). Our lights are UL Listed and Assembled in the USA (Marblehead, MA) by our team of dedicated craftsmen and women. We have been featured in Homes, Hotels and Restaurants throughout the world. All products are shipped from our warehouse & showroom in the quaint seaside town of Marblehead, MA, approximately 20 miles north of Boston. For customers in the Boston area, our showroom is also open by appointment to see our products in person.

The folks at Shiplights have been a pleasure to work with. We were so impressed by how quickly they were able to send us a new glass on one of the two lights we purchased (that I dropped) that we decided to return to them and bought 4 more lights for our house in the Keys. The quality and workmanship on the lights were far better than anything we could find and well worth the expense. Truly top quality and customer service...cant say enough...

Alicia provided us the best customer service we have experienced in years! She was hampered by her ability to expedite the folks who do the finish work for her, but did that slow her down..........no way! She sent us a temporary light with a different finish so we could complete our project. Then when the unit we needed in the finish we needed was available she sent that light on with a return label. We then sent her the temporary light back. All the shipping was at her cost! The best part of it was she was calm and extraordinarily pleasant during the whole process............we have never had a similar experience.

I love the heavy-duty quality construction of my solid brass ship lights portal lighting. They look amazing in our custom built bunk beds. Each child has their own light that they can turn on and off right in their bunk. They are flush to the wall so they do not get in the way and look so cool. The customer service was top notch! When I had a question a real person answered the phone and answered all of my questions. Thanks Shiplights and Alicia for such a great experience.

We're repeat Shiplights customers for 2 reasons: 1) we have yet to find this level of competence and conscientiousness in any other service business. Alicia is knowledgable, creative, responsive, resourceful and friendly. 2) The quality and variety of products. We live in a coastal town and have found Shiplights products have been able to withstand the salty air - from our lighting fixtures to the several porthole mirrors we've purchased there. Beyond our purchases, we've also sought Alicia's expertise. On one occasion a few years ago she found a clever solution to temporarily hanging the pendant lamp over our dining table and recently she solved a wiring/mounting problem with an antique brass gimbal lamp. Highly recommend.

These guys were great to work with. We ordered 4 lights from them. Unfortunately one of the glass fixtures arrived cracked from shipping. I contacted them and they offered to replace it immediately with no trouble at all and even threw in an extra in case it happened again. We love the fixtures and really appreciate the fast and attentive customer service. Thank you!

We recently built our dream house on the oceanside and all of our exterior lights are from Shiplights. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy these high quality fixtures and the friendly, unconditional service provided by Alicia and her family. Everyone that visits notices the lights and comments on how perfect they are for our setting. The style and workmanship is top notch and, after almost 2 years in operation their fixtures are flawless. I'v e added pictures of the lights, as well as the nautical fittings we incorporated into our interior staircase railings. Just a few weeks ago, we just added some solid brass cleats for handing towels at the outside shower, and they were delivered w/in a week with extra "courtesy" screws in case we dropped a beautiful solid brass wood screw.

I love both of the purchases I made here! The first was bulkhead sconces, fitted with individual switches, for bunkbed in a coastal home. They give off just enough light to read by and give the room a real "boaty" feel. The second purchase was two brass cleats that I am using as door handles. I've gotten so many compliments on this purchase! Shiplights was very easy to deal with, items were shipped on time and were very well packed. I love these purchases!!

We built a bunk room with six full size beds. We wanted to have a nautical theme since we live on the water. Shiplights supplied brass porthole lights for each bunk, two brass porthole mirrors, brass cleats for drawer handles, brass cleats for barn door handles and brass cleats for clothing hooks on each bunk. All of this brass was lacquered. Shiplights was excellent to work with, was very helpful in making selections, went out of their way to make sure we received exactly what we wanted and was always available for consultation. Everything is installed and looks great! We would highly recommend Shiplights and will certainly use them again if the need arises.
