We love our new vinyl wrapped porch railings and door trim! Everything is back in tip top shape and ready for the weather. Todd and his crew were great, very receptive to my questions, kept me up to date and stayed in contact with me. It all looks beautiful and I’ve had several neighbors ask who did the work, and I’ve passed along his contact information as I DO recommend them:)

I was actually happy with the work at first. However, a few months later, I realized that the boards were warping because most were only nailed on one side. When I called Todd back to repair them, the crew did a sloppy job and split many of the boards. I have tried to contact Todd for the past year without any answers. I highly recommend that you do not use him in the future.

I awarded Todd & team a contract to build a 14X14 deck at my home in Northern Virginia after a competitive bid process. Todd's bid was not the lowest but rather his was the most responsive and complete. The project was completed in less than a week from start (permitting) to finish and I am completely satisfied with the project, process and result. Todd & team were very responsive to me and the team that did the work was courteous, efficient and skilled. They worked hard during some of the hottest days and the result is excellent. Thanks Todd!

Signature Deck did a fabulous job for us! They were professional drawings, the quote process was easy and very detailed. The work was completed within the time stated and we were very happy with the work crew actually doing the job. I couldn't have asked for a better implementation of a our ideas and initial drawing we started with. All in all, very satisfied and so happy with our decision to choose Signature Deck for our project!

Todd and his crew demolished an existing set of concrete steps, and built a small (8' x 8") wooden upstairs deck and stairs leading down into my backyard. He also drafted a set of plans sufficient to get permits from the city to build the deck. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend him. He provided detailed quotes that were very competitive. Even though he is based on Norfolk area (I'm in DC), communication via phone/email was excellent and he was very responsive to changes to the plan. He quoted a very competitive price and his crew was available almost immediately. I am familiar with drafting and CAD, and I was very impressed with his hand-drawn plans. So was DCRA - when I obtained the permits there was only one minor correction necessary (for the piling depth) and the reviewer remarked that the plans were very good. During construction, we realized the width and orientation of the steps needed to be changed. Todd and his crew were very flexible and able to accommodate the scope change. They were also understanding of the issues with the city inspections, which had to be rescheduled twice due to rainy weather. When the inspector finally came out, he said it was a very solid deck. Overall, we are really satisfied with the quality of the work. My only complaint is that the Angie's List deal (the way I found Todd) was not very good - basically, it was $200 for a very simple drawing of a deck. Also, there was more dirt and rubble left behind than I would have liked. Still, this did not dissuade me from recommending him to several friends, two of which actually hired him. I don't normally write online reviews but when Todd asked if I could do a write-up on Houzz I was more than happy to oblige.

These guys are the best! On time, friendly and amazing at their craft. Unlike many, they work hard all day. Typically, they outpace the county inspectors! Todd (the owner) creates the drawings, pulls the permits and works with you to get your plans just right. He's flexible and patient with modifications to the plan. His crew is amazing. These guys work together better than any I've ever seen. Don't hesitate - call Todd.

We read another review on Angie's List about how they couldn't believe the quality job they got from Signature for the price -- I couldn't agree more! Todd was very responsive and gave us some good plans to work from and when we finally decided on the project and got it approved by HOA the work was done in an absolutely awesome and professional fashion. The crew did a fantastic job -- even the city inspector said it was the best built deck he had seen. The small and deck and porch Signature did for us was not only what we were looking for but beyond our expectations. We were so glad we followed Todd's suggestions on upgrades as they made the finished product awesome. We've already started talking about our next project with Signature! The crew was delightful, hard-working, and prompt. You would not make a mistake in contracting with Signature for your home improvement project.
