They built a wonderful home! Sean and Candice were wonderful to work with, and our project went fairly smoothly. It was a bit over the deadline, but once we were in-- it just didn't matter anymore! Even after being in, they are taking care of all the little problems and are a pleasure to work with!

After interviewing nearly a dozen contractors, my husband and I finally selected Signature Construction to build our dream home. From the very first time we met Sean York at our building site, we knew we had made the right decision. I can honestly say that his reputation as one of the finest custom home builders in St. James Plantation is well earned. It isn’t always where one finds a contractor who truly has one’s best in mind when making decisions or dealing with sub-contractors. Although very few unforeseen issues arose during construction, Sean made sure they were taken care of without hesitation and kept us informed every step of the building process. At our regular meetings made sure to discuss all aspects of the current construction phase so that we would feel stress free. It was important to us to have the project completed by the Holiday Season and we were in our home by Christmas. We were glad to see that Sean had kept his word to have us in by then. When the issue of budget came up we were given a breakdown of expenses during contract so that there wouldn’t be any surprises at the end. The only unexpected expenses were those which we made during the course of construction. We especially appreciated the help we received from his wife Candice when selecting the plumbing fixtures, lighting, granite and tile, and other custom finishes. She has impeccable taste and her expertise makes her a true professional. I certainly would have been overwhelmed had she not been there for us. If anyone is looking for a builder in our area (Southport, NC) Signature Construction is certainly worth considering. We couldn’t have made a better choice.

After researching and interviewing several builders, we chose Signature. Sean York, his wife Candice and his whole crew were a pleasure to work with. From the first meeting with Sean to the day of completion it was such a great experience. Everyone was very professional, always available to answer questions, and always willing to go the extra mile when necessary. The craftsmanship and quality of work was beyond our expectations. Candice made the whole selection process for the house easy. She was not afraid to give her opinion on choices of tile, lighting, cabinets etc. when asked....good or bad.....which was greatly appreciated. After having built several houses in the past, we can honestly say that Sean and company was the best decision we made to build our dream retirement home. Our experience with Sean & Candice York and the entire Signature Team has been nothing short of excellent. We are building a 4600 sq. ft. home with Signature Construction in St. James Plantation, Southport NC. This is the first time that we have ever built a custom home and while the process can be painful at times, we could not have picked a better builder then Sean York of Signature Construction. Before selecting a builder, I spent a lot of time talking to other folks who had built in our community and then interviewing the builders they had used , looking at their work and their attention to detail. In the end we had three companies bid the job before selecting Signature. While they were not the lowest bid, there is no question that they represent the best value of any builder in the area. What Sean includes as standard features in his homes, his level of trim work and his overall attention to detail, far surpass all of the other builders. While the process of building a custom home can be difficult at times, you need to be working with a partner who understands your desired outcome and who is willing to work with you throughout the process. The entire process is one of decisions and changes and you need a partner who is willing to work with you on getting you the desired outcome. Throughout the entire process Sean was willing to do whatever it took to get the job done. We could not have picked a better partner.

Signature helped us design and build 4000 sq foot house. Sean Yorks input and advice were invaluable and our house was constructed in an efficient and professional manner and delivered on time. Since we were living eight hours away during construction, we had to depend on Sean's attention and oversight and we were not disappointed. I was particularly impressed with Sean's ability to translate our wishes into reality and also to edit them to make them workable and design worthy.

Sean and the contractors he uses have been nothing but professional and respectful when they come into my home.
