Solid Floor

We used Solid Floor for the full refurbishment of our Victorian house. They were great to work with, and we are very happy with the end product. We worked with numerous suppliers and contractors during the renovation but Solid Floor are the only ones we would whole-heartedly recommend to others, or consider working with again. Some specific highlights: – Pre-sales dialogue via email and phone was informative and efficient. – Showroom visit was a pleasure because the salesperson was knowledgeable, patient not pushy, and understood the end-result we were trying to achieve. – They loaned us a large showroom sample of our chosen floor to help with decorating decisions. – The floor installation dates had to change numerous times to fit with other works but Solid Floor were uncomplaining and accommodating. – The installer was timely, tidy, highly competent, helpful when we asked for advice on design decisions, and worked patiently and cooperatively with other contractors.

Solid Floor provided great advice on floor choice from the first visit to their showroom. I could not be happier with my new floor which has now been installed. The fitter did a lovely job. I would certainly recommend.

We are delighted with the floor that Solid Floor put down in our hallway and sitting room. They helped us with the choice of the wood itself (size of board, finish, colour), and their fitter (Dalius) was absolutely fantastic. He fitted the floor around built-in cupboards and original skirting board, and it is absolutely perfect with no sign that the floor was put in last. Would definitely recommend both their materials and their service.
