About Us

Elizabeth Chesculescu is an Associate of the British Institute of Interior Design, actively working towards full membership. She founded Space Interior Design Ltd in 2010. She holds a Diploma in Interior Design from KLC School of Design in Chelsea, London. In a previous life, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant, working in the City for large financial groups including Deloitte, HSBC and Prudential. This gave her plenty of experience managing projects under pressure to high standards! Elizabeth was shortlisted for the KLC House & Garden Sustainable Design Award in 2011. She likes to minimise impact on the environment by seeking out British designed and made goods (fewer air miles), recycled materials (the less ‘eco’ it looks, the better) and natural products (fewer chemicals to off-gas in your home). Based in North London / Hertfordshire, Space Interior Design Ltd is supported by a trusted team of specialists brought in as and when needed.

I was so grateful to have Liz's support and expertise in my remodeling and redecorating project. There were so many times I couldn't make a decision and she swopped in and said "you should do 'x' because 'y' " and it made perfect sense and I could move on. I found her advice on lighting, choosing fabrics and colours, space planning, tiling and all kinds of big and small decisions to be incredibly valuable and I am still asking for her input! Amazing advice, great value (and she passed on discounts!), and a wonderful outcome for our family home.

Wynd Design

Liz is fantastic to work with. She has great design ideas, which are sensible solutions and within budget, but she also sometimes gently pushed us outside our comfort zone, and these are now some of our favourite design features in our home! With Liz's trade discount, we saved £££, and got her expert advice, and now we have a beautiful interior designed home.
