Tami is the best designer! She worked with us as we downsized to a condo. Tami truly listened to us without judgement. My daughter gifted me a home consultation with Tami as a birthday present knowing I had wanted some help in updating the look of my 25 year old home. Well, I liked working with Tami so much that I hired her to help me completely renovate my home office (new paint, new carpet, removal of a built in bookshelf, and installation of custom built desk, credenza, shelving, and cabinetry). Wow! I have lived in my house for nearly 20 years and it was time to do some updating. After researching designers in my area I hired Tami to help select paint colors for a few rooms in my house and to select some furnishings and a rug for my family room. Tami responded to my request immediately. We spoke on the phone and she explained her process and pricing and was very transparent. We set a date to meet. Tami was prompt and arrived with large paint samples that we could move around the rooms to view in various locations and light. Tami listened to my preferences, ascertained my style and helped me narrow down my choices. She left me with the big samples to play with and had smaller samples shipped from the paint company for me to keep. After I selected my preferred colors Tami followed up with a paint specification document for me to share with my painter so that the color selections, finish and trim were clear and the paint job could be priced accurately. I hired Tami to help me finish my nursery. The baby is due soon and I needed help! The scope of the project started as just a paint consultation. I had too many colors to narrow down and needed help figuring out which would be best. Tami helped me see the nuances in the different colors and have confidence in the final choice. Because Tami is such a joy to work with and so easy to talk to, I expanded the scope of the project to include baby furniture. It was refreshing to learn that I could use items from affordable vendors like Wayfair when working with a designer. She helped me pick products that look high end, without the big price tag and with this being our second baby and not wanting to break the bank it was such a relief. She was very prompt with responses and ordering and everything went very smoothly. Tami was really a joy to work with and I can't wait to do more projects with her in the future. She gave me so many wonderful tips for picking wall colors that put my mind at ease (I hated the original wall color I had picked myself so I was a little paralyzed by fear picking a new one and she helped me feel confident). I think that was the most surprising thing about working with such a wonderful designer like Tami, the easy tools they can give you to feel empowered and confident in your choices. Tami Smight is a visionary. We hired Tami to redesign the first floor of our home. The house came with carmel paint on the walls, and we kept buying brown pieces to match it. We wanted brighter, happier paint colors and new furnishings. Tami led us through a process of clarifying what we wanted and choosing a color palette. When Tami presented our design “road map,” I was floored at how she had taken our ideas and turned it into a plan that flowed from our front door to our living room. She narrowed each furnishing option down to two choices, and it was easy to pick our preference. Tami also excels at choosing paint colors and sheens. For our family room, she choose the perfect shade of blue and it feels like the sky has come into my home. Last week, we sat and had a conversation in our living room for the first time, because the new grey wall color and furniture draws us into a previously unused space. As more and more furniture arrived, it became evident how all the pieces work beautifully together in concert. Our furniture now perfectly fits our space and makes each area not only more usable, but the home seems larger. Tami has done several design projects for me. The most recent design was for my master bedroom and office. She is extremely professional and organized. She developed a booklet for me with all the design details including window treatments, fabrics, furniture, rugs, bedding, paint colors, art work and vendors.
