My contractor found Ray online. He worked with Ray to order butcher countertops. He was promised installation in 4-6 weeks. I paid a 50% deposit. At week 10, I contacted Ray directly (first time to ever contact him myself) and asked for a firm date for install and confirmation that the materials had been purchased (I wanted a photo). Ray responded by returning the deposit to my contractor and told me to find someone else to do the job. Evidently Ray has enough business that he can turn down work, so be prepared to treat him with your very, very best manners and extreme patience. He will walk on you if you cannot offer him royal treatment. Not customer friendly.

Ray designed an incredible mesquite island countertop for our additon/remodel in our kitchen. He went out to a special sawmill to acquire the material and built a beautifully done island top for us. Ray is professional and exceptionally talented in his field. He installed it for us as well. The island top is our favorite thing in the kitchen - we just love it! It adds so much character and warmth and we love having used a native locally sourced material. Thank you, Ray!

We designed a bar in our game room, and needed a professional to help us with the bar top and floating shelf placed behind the bar. Ray did an amazing job working with us. He was very professional and patient through the process. I knew nothing about what I needed. He worked with me to give his opinion on what would look the best and what was needed from a durability standpoint for the application. Upon installation, there were several things needed on my end to prep the site. Needless to say, I was under prepared. Ray went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of before he left, so that we could immediately start using our bar. This was great customer service, and we already purchased our second project through Ray, which was a floating mantle. This has also exceeded our expectations!

I was searching for a very specific table for our breakfast room. I found a picture of exactly what I was looking for and sent it to Ray. The table he made for my family was absolutely perfect! Even my husband (a home builder) was extremely impressed with the quality of the table. Ray was professional, fair-priced and always accommodating. He even offered to meet us before Christmas to get the table to help alleviate the high cost of shipping for this 72x72 table. He really went above and beyond for customer service (which seems to be a lost art these days). As I told Ray, this table is my favorite piece in the entire home! I would HIGHLY recommend Ray and Texas Woodworks for your custom needs.

Texas Woodworks does some of the most amazing finishes I've seen anywhere. Whatever the scope of the project, attention to detail and quality is paramount. I would recommend Texas Woodworks for any quality wood project you have....I have two future personal projects for Texas Woodworks and I know that the work will be stellar.

Texas Woodworks has replaced all of our kitchen granite counter tops and replaced with wood. They are beautiful and easy to care for. They also built a wine cellar for us. I would highly recommend them.

I contacted this business by email to inquire about a walnut countertop. What I appreciated right off the bat is how quickly they responded and were able to give me a ball-park quote so that I could consider whether to take the next step or not. An appointment was set up and Ray came exactly on time. He was honest about what was most important for updating my kitchen but also respectful of a budget. It is such a blessing when I find an honorable professional that prides himself on producing quality work. While we are still in the middle of the job, I am delighted with how everything is shaping up and know that I will be so proud of the outcome.
