I am not sure we can express how happy we are with the work Andrew and the team from The Works performed for us, in only 5 stars. Our backyard oasis was in planning for many years and when it finally came together it was even better than we envisioned. There were so many details to bring our project together. Excavation, foundations, landscaping pool installation, electrical, gas, plumbing, septic and the final major piece, the skilled carpentry of the pool house, hot tub gazebo and BBQ area. Andrew you planned it out so well and not only kept your scope on schedule, but you assisted multiple other trades as well. That was not fully your responsibility, but you assisted in managing the overall project to keep it on schedule. We so often hear these days that contractors are not meeting the expectation of their clients. In the case of The Works you not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Regularly you would update us on progress and ask for answers so you could continue with the work. Communication is a lost skill it seems these days and great communication led to the results we received. This project was done to bring our family and friends together. Leanne and I are so pleased that you were recommended to us for a project so important to us. I know we will have an opportunity to work together again and we will recommend you to anyone that asks us for a professional company for a project they have planned. Andrew was recommended to us for our Den renovation in 2016. When it came time to renovate our two bathrooms and basement in 2019, we didn't hesitate to contact Andrew. Based on the Den renovation, we were confident he would be professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. Andrew pays attention to details, as does his assistant, which results in quality work. They work so well as a team that our project moved along smoothly to its completion. We greatly appreciated Andrew's hands-on experience as a renovator when making all the choices needed for bathroom renovations. Andrew has excellent relationships with retailers in the community (e.g., tiles, lighting, flooring) and he met with us at different stores to help us make product choices. There were some challenges, to be expected with a renovation (e.g., concrete partial walls had to be removed to open up the downstairs bathroom stall). At all times, Andrew was calm and clearly explained what needed to be done. We love the new look of our bathrooms and basement!

1st project was a basement family room Reno. This was done in the fall of 2017. Remove old, dated family room, remove a wall and create a door way to another area. Install gas fireplace. Work site was always clean and the worker was always professional. Included taking the walls back to cement and installing thicker studs to accommodate proper fibreglass insulation. Instal many more outlets a reasonable distance from each other and instal dimmable pot lights in new drop ceiling. Luxury vinyl floor install and carpet the stairs. Winter 2019 - remove / instal kitchen, remove / instal main bathroom and en-suite bathroom. Remove all flooring on main floor and replace with luxury vinyl and all new baseboards and casings. Prior to this, all interior doors were replaced with 2 panel doors. Remove and install 2 rear windows and a sliding door. Old laundry room cupboards were eventually installed in the garage and the former kitchen cabinets were installed in the laundry room. New quiet powerful Panasonic exhaust fans were installed In the 2 bathrooms. A glass walk in tiled shower was installed in the en suite. Replace, move and install the kitchen and dining room lights and full pot lights in kitchen and eat in kitchen. There was a lot of work completed in a few projects but each project seemed to be reasonable in duration. If any issues came up, Andrew was calm, level headed and dealt with the issues. He would also help with his opinion on current products and colours/finishes.

Andrew did a total renovation of our kitchen, bathroom and powder room. We are thrilled. He was great to work with: friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. His advice was always excellent and it made having to choose tiles, flooring, etc less overwhelming. He and Rich worked hard, and he did an excellent job co-ordinating the necessary trades. He also did a good job cleaning up the space on a daily basis. This made living through the renovation a lot easier. I was impressed and would highly recommend The Works to anyone.

Working with Andrew on our master bedroom renovation was amazing. His work is top notch. Could 100% recommend him and would definitely hire him again.

We hired Andrew for a main floor and kitchen renovation for our 100 year old home. Andrew's work far exceeded our expectations. He helped us make decisions along the way with our best interest in mind. The project was completed on budget and on time. We are enjoying our newly renovated home and we are very happy with the results!

We had Andrew renovate the whole upper level of our home. The project included adding a dormer, moving multiple walls to reconfigure rooms, adding closets, new stairs, new hardwood flooring, and a cold air exchange. We absolutely loved working with Andrew in terms of his incredible customer service, always keeping us informed, helping us bring our ideas to completion, providing solutions, and beautiful final product. After the quality and service that we received from Andrew we will always use him for any project and plan to in the future.

We were fortunate enough to meet Andrew and this crew last year after we had our pool installed. We met with about 4 different contractors, but Andrew came in to quote us and you could almost see him designing our space while he measured. Our situation required some fancy thinking on Andrew's part, as he and his team not only were building our deck. but also reinforcing our recently installed fiberglass pool and accommodating for a motorized cover, that we did not have yet. Andrew was patient and even worked with the pool cover installer to ensure measurements were correct. He was amazing! We had one minor tweak that we wanted to make after the deck was complete, and Andrew and team were quick to make the change for us. The best part was the corner pergola structure they put in for us - while we talked about it, seeing it in person was amazing and is the perfect focal point and shade provider for our sunny back-yard. Andrew and his team were quick, courteous and so nice to work with - i would definitely use them again and again.

We have recently had our old sunroom removed from the back of our home and a new one put in its place. The contractor, Andrew Karger (The Works) did a terrific job. He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful from planning right through to the finished project. The quality of the work done is excellent and came in on budget. I would definitely recommend this contractor to friends and family. Very pleased and enjoying our new sunroom.

Since moving into our home in 2011 we were very fortunate to have connected with Andrew at The Works. He has done numerous renos for us over the past 5 years including: designing and finishing our basement (2 bedrooms, a bathroom and family room), master ensuite, and den; and also assisted in our kitchen reno. He is the first person we call when there is something to be updated in our home. Andrew is very creative and always provides pictures,samples and drawings of his ideas so we clearly understand what our options are. He is very reliable, arriving when he says he will, completes the work according to the timeline and ensures the work site is cleaned up before he heads home. He does great work and brings in skilful trades as needed. His quotes are very competitive and he sticks to them. He looks for cost effective ways to do quality work. It is great working with Andrew and his team and we are always confident in recommending him and having him back to do all of our never ending projects!!
