Distinctive Homes was originally established in 1989 by Thomas C. Terry, a licensed architect with over 38 years in the industry.
Distinctive Homes & Architecture currently has projects in Arizona, New Mexico, California, Oregon, and Ohio. As a business owner, Tom believes the most important aspects to any project are designing homes sensitive to the lot, topography, solar orientation, beauty, and budget. As an architect, the most important aspects of his designs are to make living in the home a wonderful, beautiful experience and marrying the interior to the views and the exterior environment of the lot.
Tom received his Bachelors in Architecture from Ohio State University in 1984. He studied along side several Frank Lloyd apprentices eventually served his own apprenticeship under the former chairman of the Arizona Technical Board of Architects and Engineers. Tom has been working in the Prescott area and practicing architecture for over 30 years.
