Unique Deliveries, LLC

I used to use Unique Deliveries too, but in the last 6 months they have really taken a quality nose dive. Unique's job is to unpack the product, check for damage, notify us if there is damage so we can file a freight claim and hold it until we pick it up. At the beginning of December I was notified that a new table arrived - there was no mention of any damage. I went to pick up the table 6 weeks later and noticed a 1" chip on the top corner, and 3" rub marks down the legs. I asked the owner about the damage, and wanted to see the paperwork they filled out upon receipt of the item from the shipper. After going back into his office to find the receipt he came out claiming that he couldn't find it. I left there that day upset, with no furniture. I did take pictures of the damage. A couple of days later he produced (likely created) a document that stated the table had arrived already damaged. I asked why I had not heard about this earlier. He told me that I had been notified, but that it must have gone to the junk mail folder. This strikes me as odd because I have done a lot of business with Unique and no email has ever gone to the junk mail folder. So I asked him to send me a copy of the email he sent me notifying me upon arrival that this piece came in damaged. He told me the employee that sent the email no longer worked for him so he couldn't get the sent email. I pointed out that all email correspondences she has sent me in the past come from the same email address that he has been using to send me emails. He then responds that he recently deleted that sent mail folder. He also starts talking about the rustic look of the piece, and that there isn't a chip in the finish - only rub marks. This one for me completely confused me. I took pictures when I first went to pick up the piece that proves that there is a chip - right on the top front corner of the table. So when I ultimately pick up the table I see that he has painted over the chip so that he can claim that the chip doesn't exist - just a "patina" finish. Of course the chip still exists, but is now covered by stain. Unbelievably dishonest! So this is how things ended up. I cannot file a claim with the shipper because it is outside of the the 15 day window to file a claim. Given the "lost" paperwork, and "deleted" sent mail folder it is likely that the damage happened in storage - which would be his responsibility to cover. I am left with a damaged table, and I can sue the owner in small claims court. Insult to injury, when I picked it up I was then socked with storage fees. The worker was able to call and get me the total, but when I asked for the itemized bill that would not be available unless I came back in 3 hours.

It has been my privilege to have Unique Deliveries help me with some projects where I have needed their expertise. I have found them to be professional and timely in all of their work. There is just no excuse!!! That is why I can recommend Jeremiah and his team. From the moment the product lands at their dock until the time it is "White Glove" delivered to my clients home, they handle and over see each step. I have had the unfortunate experience to have some products damaged in shipping. Jeremiah inspected the product immediately, sent the necessary photo's and documentation so I could make my freight claim. His team are all dressed professionally, can communicate effectively with the clients and take the highest procautions to protect the clients home during the delivery process. They definately take their service seriously, and it shows!! Smiling clients = happy designer= repeat business!!!

We have all of our custom orders sent to Unique's warehouse. They do a great job receiving the shipments and inspecting for damage. We also use them on all of our installs. They are always courteous and respectful and don't even mind when I ask them to move things around more than once. I never do an installation without Unique Deliveries.

I have very much appreciated my experiences with Unique Deliveries. I have hired them for deliveries, receiving, as well as storage for several projects.
