We were struggling to repair and update a staircase in our newly purchased home when the stair craftsmen/contractor suggested we contact Karin for help. We wanted to add a modern update to a traditional PNW style home full of Douglas Fir woodwork. Karin came out to meet us and quickly figured out what we were hoping to do. She asked insightful questions, got a feel for us, and gathered the feel of the house we were working with. When she returned she brought two color samples that we would never have thought of on our own that perfectly fit what we were trying to accomplish. We rebuild and refinished that staircase that came out beautifully and is now the centerpiece of our home. We then expanded that same approach to update the kitchen, pick out new back splashes, lighting, and other house furnishings. I have enjoyed working with Karin to furnish my new home. We have lived in our home many years and I have never known how to arrange our odd shaped living room. After years of struggling to coordinate our living room without much success, I finally sought out professional assistance and was introduced to Karin. She was so easy to work with, had great ideas and very accommodating. Her first step was to have us visit her beautiful home to see if we liked the style she used in her house. We were very excited to see her style as it was exactly what we were looking for, open and modern. When she came over for our first consultation, we were greatly impressed with all the suggestions she gave us to not only make the living room more functional but also much more stylish highlighting key focal areas. After giving us great ideas for the layout of the living room she helped us select furniture, area rugs, accessories to give our living room a new beautiful look that we truly love. It was so great to have her coordinate everything. We would have never been able to blend all the colors, textures and ideas the way her professional eye did. We recently downsized which led to a complete remodeling of the home we purchased. I absolutely love and admire beautifully decorated homes which are not only cozy but functional and work well with our lifestyle. I began to hesitantly choose my own furnishings and came to the realization that I know what I like, however did not have the expertise to pull everything together for a cohesive, finished look. As a result, I contacted Karin for a consultation. My only regret is that I did not find her earlier in the remodel process since she is talented not only with choosing furnishings but also with structural design and selecting the basics such as flooring, cabinets, tile, rugs etc. One of my concerns with selecting a designer was finding one that understood my style preferences while also considering any budget limitations. After reviewing some of her past projects, I could see her talent shine through and became confident that I was in good hands. I wanted to say, “do whatever you want” but did collaborate with her along the way. I am so very pleased with the results! Karin took an average home and made it stunning. I was impressed by the fact that she not only took into account my likes and preferences, but also quizzed me about what my husband would like for his comfort. When it came to selecting various items, she would ask me if I just liked it or if I LOVED it. Karin obviously enjoys what she does and treated the project as if it were her own personal home. Her attention to detail and ability to tie everything together is amazing. When we have visitors, they walk in and say “WOW”! As soon as I saw a prior project designed by Karin I knew she was the one to design our project. We built an addition to the house to make his and hers bathrooms and closets. I asked for perfection and that is what she delivered. Immediately she focused on our tastes and lifestyle and made them better. The project involved contractors, subcontractors and lots of design elements all managed and coordinated by Karin. It was not easy but she made it seem so. I have hired her again to do another bathroom, and to help design our second home.

My husband and I are so happy with what Karin has done for our main level. We built our home 25 years ago and it was finally due for a "face lift". Karin was involved in every aspect of our remodel. From picking the tile behind the new linear fireplace, to suggesting we install hardwood floors to replace the carpet, to the paint on the walls. She met with us to pick out new furniture for the area, along with floor rugs and accents. We also upgraded the powder room thanks to Karin's suggestion. We are so thrilled with our new living room (great room). Karin was very professional, she kept our budget in mind and was a joy to work with.

Karin had the challenge of working her design a state away from our home. Karin visited a couple of times during the 3 month remodel and in these visits she was successful in picking up on the smallest details to achieve a wonderful result in the end. Her ability to choose items and offer her unique suggestions from paint color, flooring, furniture to lighting and hardware was outstanding.
