Victor has done a couple of separate projects for us at our home in Roswell. He remodeled our home office during the pandemic and turned it into an incredible, more functional space with custom-made bookcases. Victor Smith was hired to remodel our master bathroom . Our bathroom had not been touched since it was built in 1995 - including the hideous carpeting - and needed a LOT of work. While we did not want to reconfigure the shape of the bathroom, the entire room needed to be gutted and essentially rebuilt. Victor and Alan came in and took the ugliest room in our house to the most beautiful room in the house. The look we were going for was contemporary, clean and (hopefully) timeless. I'd say Victor accomplished this in spades. Every step of the way, he was informative, helpful, responsive and thorough. Victor and Alan are perfectionists and are not satisfied unless the job is done to an exacting standard. No detail, big or small was overlooked. I felt comfortable with their work, their skills and their opinions. Price wise, we met with a few contractors but felt most comfortable with Victor. He was upfront from the start regarding costs and was neither the most expensive nor the least expensive. We came in right around where we were quoted, with the overages being selections on my end for materials chosen. I am, as recently discovered during this project, not a great decision-maker when it comes to selection of design options and both Victor and Alan were incredibly helpful giving me resources of where to look, opinions on materials that we could use and overall t

Our new master bathroom is amazing! Victor and Alan did a great job. We were working with a smaller space and big ideas. Since this was our first time remodeling a bathroom (or any room for that matter), we had no idea what we were doing. They were patient, flexible, and very helpful. During the planning process, they were very active in our choice making to allow us to get the look we wanted that would also keep the space practical and functional. They made great recommendations as well. One of our favorite features they recommended was to create a built-in medicine cabinet behind the vanity mirrors. They also suggested moving the door to swing out which provided more space in the bathroom. When working with other contractors, Victor was very thorough and had our back. We decided on a unique color for our plumbing fixtures and he made sure that it would match the fixtures of our glass installation by insisting the company bring us a sample book to look at. They completed the job on schedule and within budget. They were even super friendly to our two dogs, Yogi and Baloo! We are very happy with the quality of work. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them in the future!

Victor’s talent for remodeling is above the rest. He recently worked on our master bathroom and completely transformed it exactly as I asked. He gave design help and helped me make the best choices for my space. His attention to detail is outstanding and would not allow any imperfections. After completing the job, he gave me a couple days to “live in” the space to see if there was anything that bothered me and came back and fixed. He was timely, showed up every day early, and worked each day in full. There was minimal mess and he was sure to clean up every day before he left. His professionalism was great, very kind and respectful me and my kids, as we were home a great deal of the time. If you are planning to remodel your bathroom, we highly recommend Victor Smith. He is a true craftsman and artist in addition to being meticulous and neat. After seeing the work he did for our neighbors across the street in Magnolia Walk and also first hearing of his recommendation here on Nextdoor network, we thought he came with great referrals. We didn’t know what we wanted to do with our lovely 90’s white and gold bathroom (see before/after photos) other than make it go away. Grout was falling out around the tiles, black mold had set in behind the shower wall and the garden tub was never even used. Victor worked with us to develop the design to remove the corner garden tub and enlarge the shower. He even created color drawings beforehand. We also visited two of his previous customer's renovated bathrooms for ideas. While we picked out most of the materials, Victor suggested the fabulous dark bronze textured accent wall tiles that really makes the room. His work was flawless and we love the results!

Last year, Victor remodeled my hall and master bathrooms at the same time. The bathrooms were 20 years old and definitely needed to be updated. I was nervous about going through a remodeling project as I had a horrible experience with a prior remodel that left me with a negative impression of contractors. Thankfully this time with Victor, my experience was completely different and he restored my faith in contractors. After seeing Victor’s name on the NextDoor Neighbor website and looking at his pictures and recommendations on Facebook and his website I decided to contact him. I had some ideas on what I was wanted but was looking for input, as I wasn’t sure what was feasible and would look best. He visited my house and we discussed some ideas then he sent me a computer rendering of the plan so I could visualize the renovations for the two bathrooms. Victor had great ideas and thought of things I wouldn’t have included in the design. I trusted Victor when he made suggestions. Victor provided a very detailed proposal of everything that is included, timeframe and pricing. I had lots of questions and Victor patiently answered all of them for me. Victor took me to a few local stores to look for tile and offered suggestions on what works best based on his past use of the materials. He never rushed me to make decisions and wanted to make sure that I got the look I wanted. Victor did not take me to the high end tile stores in Buckhead and was not trying to get me to buy the most expensive product so he could get a cut- as I had experienced with a prior contractor. Victor made suggestions but let me pick out everything myself and I did all the ordering and purchasing of the products that I wanted to use; there was no middle man, really like this! From day one of the project I knew I was going to be in good hands. Victor and his associate Alan, took the time to make sure that my house, from the entry door and up the stairs and hallway and workspace and into the bedroom was protected. Victor and Alan showed up everyday on time and worked tirelessly on the projects. Not only did they protect my house they cleaned up after themselves everyday, which I greatly appreciated. It was refreshing to only have two people coming in my house everyday and knowing that they were doing the work themselves and not subbing it out to others. Victor and Alan take pride in their work and hold themselves to a high standard to go the extra steps to make sure everything is perfect. They made sure that the bathrooms are waterproof and didn’t cut corners on this vital step! At one point they had laid some tile down but the grout color was lighter than they liked. So they decided to take out the grout and change to a color that matched better. I am thankful that they had an eye for colors and didn’t just say, we spent a day working on it so we can’t redo it. NOT the case at all, as they are perfectionist and want to get it right. I really wanted to have a chandelier in my master bath but the way the bathroom was wired Victor wasn’t sure if he could get it to work. He spent a lot of time in the attic looking at all the wires and testing different ways to get the power to the center of the bathroom ceiling. I was ready to give up on having a chandelier, but not Victor. He figured out a way to get the wiring to work. I get the sense that he enjoys finding solutions to the challenges that come up. I appreciate his persistence as I got my beautiful chandelier which adds so much to the bathroom. When I had questions about what they were doing they took the time to explain it to me. They kept me updated on their progress and next steps which, allowed me to relax. I felt very comfortable with them in my house, and some days I would forget that they were upstairs working away as I was downstairs working. Not only did Victor give me bathrooms that I LOVE, but he did it in a week faster than the estimated time frame- can’t beat that. I highly recommend Victor to anyone looking for a contractor to do remodeling in your home. I just wish I had more projects for Victor to work on for me. Kim

Victor Smith did two bathroom down to studs remodels, tore down and rebuilt turning staircase on our deck, replaced steps, rails and rotted floorboards on our front porch and and rebuilt the porch and railings on our playhouse/shed. VIctor is a true artist and perfectionist who worked with the decorator's to install what they brought in, including converting a hall table into a bathroom vanity with vessel sink. Highly recommended. There was no timeline on this job due to the number of issues "discovered" along the way that required remediation.

As a designer, I have worked with A LOT of contractors. I'm picky, very picky, and for the most part, I don't trust contractors. So when it came to choosing the right person for a basement remodel on my own house, I wanted it to be right. I was introduced to Victor by a friend. I got bids from several other contractors also. Victor was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but was by far the most diligent. He called to confirm, showed up on time and returned to confirm details. He was pro-active at every stage of the project. Victor is one of those rare gem contractors that you find once in a while. He shows up when he says, does what he commits to, asks a million questions to confirm that you are getting what you want and is a true artisan in his own right. His ideas only served to make the project that much better. The result was a new basement guest suite that simply shines. We rented the house shortly afterwards and every single person wanted it. I then used Victor to do some extensive work on the new house, again my experience has been amazing. Due to the level of his work and communication, we have become good friends, which is rare for me, and quite simply, I don't ever want to use anyone else.
