Visionary Cabinetry and Design

We had our kitchen done a few years ago. The kitchen turned out great. But a few months after the paint showed a lot of wear and tear. In the later years, the paint started bubbling. When we inquired about the warranty, Visonary stated that it was our doing and wouldn’t cover the damage under the warranty. Our neighbors used another local cabinet company and the quality was so much better. Disappointed I didn’t go with a more professional company.

Sarah and the team at Visionary were extremely helpful in the design process of our new kitchen. They made suggestions to ensure the end product was exactly what we were looking for, and we could not be happier. I absolutely recommend Visionary to anyone considering a renovation or custom home construction.

Working with the staff at Visionary Cabinetry & Design was a great experience. The end result exceeded our expectations. Sarah and Rick were professional and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were patient with us while we investigated options and came to decisions. Sarah's kitchen design was creative and made excellent use of space. Our kitchen is open, inviting, and a great place to entertain. The crew worked hard and always cleaned up after themselves.

We hired Visionary Cabinetry to design and supply the cabinetry for our kitchen in the summer of 2017. We chose their Harlan Cabinetry line, an Amish custom cabinet maker from Harlan, Indiana, in a white inset cabinet and one of the lines they carried. We worked with Sarah as the designer, and while the design process went smoothly, we encountered significant issues with the cabinets after they were delivered, and neither Harlan nor Visionary have stood by their warranty or rectified any of our issues to this date. Instead, we have encountered only unprofessionalism. We highly recommend you stay away from Visionary Cabinetry for your design needs and to save yourself headache and money. 1. When our cabinets were delivered in late summer 2017, they were placed directly in our kitchen. Within a few days of acclimating in our home, our contractor began to install them. He noticed that several of the inset cabinets were out of square and by up to 1/8". For the doors to align within the frame on inset cabinets, the cabinets should be square, otherwise the doors don't fit properly. Harlan and Visionary sent representatives on site who all confirmed the cabinets were out of square. After waiting many weeks for a replacement, it was finally delivered on a Harlan truck in horrible condition with dried paint runs all over it. We rejected the cabinet on site and chose to proceed with our project with the out of square cabinet. No one ever made this right or gave us financial compensation for using a defective cabinet box (a 4 ft long run). 2. A pantry with retractable doors was made and delivered to us without access to the hinges on the doors, which meant you could not adjust the alignment of the doors. Holes for grommets were drilled on site by Harlan and they damaged the wood/paint finish. We had to have a cabinetry repair company touch up their damage. 3. Once that cabinets were installed, we noticed paint issues on the cabinets, including bubbling paint, significant joint seams, crackling paint, and uneven finishes. We notified Visionary with photographs and they notified Harlan. Weeks went by with no clear direction of what was going to be done. Finally we received a call from the owner of Harlan, Dave, and he put the blame on us that the cabinets must have been exposed to significant amounts of moisture, and even said perhaps this happened during our backsplash tile work. Say what??? The extent of the flaws was so significant and all over that his excuse was an insult. Visionary sent out a third party to assess the damage and they agreed that this was due to poor paint preparation or construction of the cabinetry. We also had another company assess the issues who confirmed this as well. We have a warranty, yet all Harlan wanted to do was touch up work to repair the issues. This was not satisfactory to us. Rick, the owner of Visionary, claimed that they would make this right. To this day, they have not made good on that promise. Even though we paid over $40,000 in cabinetry, all we asked was to be compensated the $7,500 to have the cabinets refinished on site. And yet they have not followed through or returned calls. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! USE A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY AND THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

What a wonderful experience working with Sarah at Visionary! Sarah was very patient with us as we designed our dream kitchen, a renovated bathroom, and a vastly remodeled laundry room. The result is drop dead gorgeous, and functional to boot! We are looking forward to working with Sarah and Visionary with the renovation of our 2nd floor bathrooms in 2018!!!!!

Sarah and the crew at Visionary were wonderful to work with from start to finish. Sarah was creative in her design of our kitchen and integrated our ideas with her design experience to create a great space for our family. Sarah maintained communication with us throughout the project and seemed to genuinely care about our project and our experience.

We are very satisfied with our new cabinets! The quality is superb. The designer worked with us and got us all the details we were looking for. We even added a couple of modifications after the cabinets were installed and they were completed in a timely manner. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family! Thank you!

Had entire top floor which included master bedroom,bathroom, office and 2nd bedroom and bathroom. Turned out even better than I imagined. Totally satisfied with remodel from start to finish.

Visionary was extremely helpful providing various layouts of the kitchen we wanted to update. Further, Visionary shared benefits and insights of the various renderings. Once finalized, the kitchen came together seamlessly and is better than the drawings.

Visionary Cabinetry and Design worked closely with us on the design of Ultracraft cabinets for our master and guest bathroom remodel projects. Sarah Corcoran designed the cabinets, monitored their production and facilitated cabinet delivery to our vacation home in another state. She was very professional, fun to work with and thorough. Her knowledge guided us about what options would work in our space and within budget. When we had questions, she was always available with an answer exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Visionary Cabinetry & Design and look forward to working with them on future projects.
