Our house in Annandale had a deck that was built in the 80s that wasn't up to modern code and was failing in places. Our electrician, JML Electric, recommended Halse Remodeling. Halse replaced our deck with a two story screened porch and also replaced the roof with new shingles and the aluminum siding with Hardie. Sean was helpful and communicative throughout. He advised on materials and design choices as well as quality-of-life improvements like outlet placement (putting an outlet in the ceiling for string lights was his idea). The actual construction was a breeze. Sean and Corky were here every weekday working and managing and only stopped work once for severe weather. Any time there was something that would impact us Sean texted updates. They were dependable, tidy, and courteous. Just after the job finished my parents visited. My dad worked in construction for over 30 years and kept complimenting the craftsmanship on the project. If there was an easy way and right way to do something Halse did it the right way every time. We went from an unsightly deck we didn't feel safe on to a beautiful screened porch for entertaining with a private upstairs off our bedroom. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

This father and son team are top notch. A true pleasure to work with, from start to finish. I hired them to replace my siding and windows. Because of the age of my house there were unforeseen complications. These were handled in stride, with minimal impact to budget and schedule. For this I am extremely grateful. Fit and finish. This is the best part. My house is still beautiful 5 years later. These guys are craftsman. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to family, friends or neighbors.
