Marc Wood Bespoke Joinery
4 Reviews
Working from our rural workshop, located amongst the beautiful west-country landscape of South Somerset UK, Marc Wood is a creative designer-maker of beautiful, high quality furniture, cabinets, picture frames and mirrors; we use a mixture of reclaimed wood and FSC timbers along with upcycled materials.

Marc has an art and design background and trained in Joinery to put his furniture design into practice, he is inspired by the clever simplicity of mid century Scandinavian furniture design and traditional farmhouse rustic techniques, especially the ‘dovetail’ joint which you can find on many of our handmade pieces.

Together with wife Rachel they run Marc Wood Joinery from their Somerset workshop situated within a complex of 18th Century farmland outbuildings shared amongst a lively local artisan community.

This thriving small online business offers in house designs and custom made furniture for those who want high quality design and craftsmanship with a commitment to sustainability, minimising waste and re-using discarded materials.

We always try to source locally and use recycled packaging, we are always investigating how we can further reduce our use of plastics and energy; our long term plan is to install equipment to enable renewable energy at home and at our workshop.
