We couldn't recommend Phil highly enough - from design to installation he is the best option out there. His skills exceed far beyond carpentry - his design advice and detailed feedback were fundamental to the whole process and made our kitchen fresh and unique. A friendly, passionate and honest craftsman...would do it all over again!

We had a wonderful experience with Standforth through the whole process of design and build of our kitchen and larder and we are delighted with the final result. Phil took time to explain processes and options, listened to our ideas and questions and his knowledge, expertise, attention to detail and patience were evident through the process. Designing and building my first kitchen with Phil was a wonderful process of collaboration. There was no point at which I felt Phil wasn’t the perfect person for the job. He is open-minded, patient and has a great sense of humour which helped greatly in the stressful moments of the renovation. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful kitchen, in its aesthetics and functionality - it is honestly my favourite room in the house now. I would recommend Standforth to anyone, especially to like-minded perfectionists - from conception to installation (helped by his lovely partner, John) the whole process was truly satisfying.

Phil was incredible to work with from the very first meeting all the way to the end of our kitchen renovation project just over a year ago. Phil really listened to our requirements for our new family space, and we were involved in the design process every step of the way. The quality of the product is second to none. Phil is not only an outstanding craftsman, but he also went the extra mile with the make and build of my kitchen to ensure that it was beautifully executed in craft and fit. I have been collaborating with Standforth since 2020. We have designed and delivered 3 unique and radically different kitchens that suit their clients and properties perfectly. Phil is a pleasure to work with at all stages: from developing the brief together, producing and selecting samples, providing professional sets of drawings including 3D views, fine tuning details and then working on site. As an architect I usually provide planning permissions or listed building consents and interior design services. When a new kitchen is needed, Phil is briefed and introduced to the clients early on, and together we all collaborate in fine tuning our rough original brief and layout. His attention to detail, knowledge of materials and the lengths he goes, on site, to achieve the best final result is outstanding. I wish we can continue to work together for many years to come.

Phil from Standforth was brilliant. We had never attempted anything like this before and Phil made us feel very confident early on, consulting with us and making recommendations for surfaces and finishes. Phil is conscientious and very detail focused which made the difference in what you might describe as a'minimalist' design - the small details lift the work to another level. His finishing is excellent and he is adamant in making sure the space is practical, working for the way we use the space. We couldn't be happier with it.

Phil made out bespoke kitchen to suit our small Regency home and we are delighted with the finished room as well As having enjoyed the way he worked woth is on the project, working with very high standards.
