Melka Landscaping and Nursery is "the" premier destination for all your lawn, garden and landscaping needs. I have been a very happy customer for over ten years! Melka's Garden Center is the first place I go to in the spring to see what is new and to get ideas for my containers on my deck. While they do offer classes for container gardening (I have not taken one as of yet) but I am hoping to do it this year! Their containers are always so very beautiful. I use Melka for our annual spring cleanup and seasonal mulching. They landscaped our front lawn with steppers, redid our front sidewalk with pavers and maintained their work on request. We even buy our Christmas tree from them every year! I am never disappointed. They are very professional. The crew works very hard and very efficiently and the results are always beautiful. I recommend their services whole heartedly!

I have had a few landscaping projects completed by Jim Melka and his staff. Jim's knowledge of all trees, plants, flowers amazes me. He has a great staff to work with. Very professional, pleasant and the end result is so appreciated. I love going to his garden center! I truly find it to be a relaxation technique - love looking at all the ideas of combining so many flowers/plants. I often ask Jim what he has growing on the grounds and use the same in my own home garden/landscaping.

We have worked with Melka Landscaping for the last 23 years. They have landscaped both the homes we have owned in Orland Park and we would not work with anyone else. The present house we own had some drainage issues that did not present until after the house was landscaped and we had been in for a few months. We called Jim. He came out and looked at the problem and without any issues or additional cost put in drainage tile and rectified the matter. We also lost some plants due to severe heat and true to their guarantee the plants we replaced without question. Melka Landscaping provides exceptional knowledge, personal service, they always meet deadlines that are set, they care about customer input and customer satisfaction. Everyone who works at Melka Landscaping is willing to go above and beyond to help. Jim, Jim, Jr., Donna and Tom in the landscape office, the workers in the yard and the people who teach the classes are all friendly, welcoming and inviting. Melka Landscaping also provides the weekly maintainance at our house and the workers are reliable and efficient.

Melka created a beautiful design for our church patio that incorporated elements of hardscape and landscaping to make it a tranquil setting. We offer our members the opportunity to purchase Celebration Bricks that are engraved will lasting memories. This makes it a very special place. A picture is available upon request.

Jim Melka Landscape has done a lot of work for us over the past several years. We've always been very happy with the quality of his plant material, his design expertise, and the professionalism of his employees. We won a beautification award two years ago because of Jim's design expertise. We plan on using him again this summer.

In 2011 we had a patio construction and backyard landscaping project. Jim Melka's team took this project from paper design to finish in a few short months. It was a major overhaul including removal of existing deck, stripping the landscaping and grass, building a brick pergola, multi-tiered social areas, outdoor fireplace, and built-in hot tub. This team was professional, on-time, and left the property at the end of each day neat, clean and tidy. I would highly recommend their landscaping capabilities from design to implementation. I also use them for weekly maintenance of my property in Spring, Summer and Fall. Again, they are timely, efficient, clean and always makes my home look well cared for. We are delighted with the work Melka Landscaping did! The bushes we ordered were healthy and full, they were planted on our property with an eye toward what plants we already had and the employees who came out were wonderful!
