Kate Savill Landscapes

Kate Savill Landscapes undertakes a range of projects, from inner-city sanctuaries to large family gardens. Kate combines her love of functional design, her sharp eye for detail and her passion for plants in every garden; taking pride in listening to a client's brief and aspirations to create a truly personal space for them. Growing up in the picturesque Cornish landscape, Kate has always felt a strong connection to nature. After completing her degree in Fine Art in 2010, she decided to combine her creative talents with her love of the natural world, gaining a distinction in her diploma at the Pickard School of Garden Design in Bristol. Her planting style has often been described as "painting with plants", using texture, form and colour as her palette to create a unique ambience in her work. Following her diploma, she worked full time alongside multi-award winning Garden Designer, Adam Frost, delivering a wide range of projects; from large rural retreats to international show gardens and urban charity schemes. During this time, she also won an RHS Gold Medal for her own show garden at the RHS Young Designer of the Year final in 2015. Kate returned to Bristol in 2016 to start her own practice, and alongside creating a number of gardens for her clients in the area, she has designed and built two RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens: The Jo Whiley Scent Garden in 2017, and the Warner Edwards Garden in 2018. The Warner Edwards Garden is now a permanent feature at the artisan gin company's distillery in Northamptonshire. She also won Best in Show for her planting design at BBC Gardeners' World Live 2017.
